In apology, I'm going to break down the next couple chapters and let you know where we're going from there. I'll do my best to not include spoilers, so the break down is going to be quite vague.
Anyway, chapter 10 is ambling along and we have almost 3k written. It might end up being on the shorter side just because it has a pretty narrow focus, but that depends. I always seem to say that and then I take it as a challenge. Either way, chapter 10 ties up a lot of other loose strings and comes with something that's meant to be a twist, but if you've been paying attention it probably won't be.
So far up to this point I've figured it might be 12 chapters, but from where I'm sitting now, it might end up being just 11. I won't be sure until I'm closer to 10 being finished.
As for what is to come after, I've made it pretty clear that this is intended to be a series of books. I have the skeleton of a Book 2 plot worked out so far. I'm thinking of writing up a quick summary/teaser for it and posting it for you guys to enjoy. Book 2 is going to take the focus off the Courts and instead hone in on witch society and the broader paranormal world. I don't want to lose the rural spooky vibes of Port Gillain, so we'll still spend time there, but as the MC is introduced to the broader world it's a bit inevitable.
