Chapter 8 is an eclectic chapter. It definitely qualifies as "filler" despite being quite lore heavy and significant in as far as Z's and R's romance paths go. Which to say, chapter 8 is where you get the opportunity to lock in their romances. Now this choice is mostly just "moment at which MC decides they're interested or not". It's not a first kiss or anything.
And I haven't mentioned this yet, but choosing one of the romances will lock you out of the others. There are no poly routes here. Sorry.
