MOVED IN!!!
Added 2021-08-26 15:39:16 +0000 UTCHi guys! So, yesterday my family and I began moving into our rental home. Everything is going well for the most part, my office is set up for work, and things are quite cozy. Honestly, it has me wishing this is the final spot we're moving to! The only downside is, there is poor phone signal here, and our internet will not be connected until September 4th or 5th. I will try to upload using the internet at the post office or work before that time. Be sure to expect a little inactivity before that time. I have a few more pages of Elevator Trouble that are ready to upload and monthly sketches. Get ready for a butt load of uploads when I return guys! Thank you all and be safe!
Quick question. Does anyone have a favorite and least favorite part of moving into a new place? My favorite comment will get a single character colored sketch request.

I really sympathize with this one. I may be able to revisit, but the memories lost hurt me the most. It was in the back of my head the last few months that I knew this was coming. I certainly do feel comforted knowing the fresh start that is coming my way, though—that feeling kind of feels like popping in a new videogame.

2021-09-21 23:52:01 +0000 UTCTruthfully, me getting used to the new area that used to be one of my biggest gripes and fears. But, now, after having experience with moving, I cherish that part a lot. It feels so much like adventure, and it's neat learning the secrets of a new place! It's a little more comforting if the new place is somewhat familiar, though. I do have to agree with you about the part of leaving family. That never escapes the back of my head and moves to the front of my thoughts on a daily. Thank you for sharing and the kind wishes!

2021-09-21 23:46:53 +0000 UTCFor me the worst part is just getting used to the area. Especially if it’s a long move! Learning new roads, how to get everywhere again. And maybe leaving family behind is a close second! It was hard for me to move out of my home town, but I am so glad I did for the opportunity and people I got to meet! Hope your move went well, and thank you for your hard work! :)

2021-08-28 23:33:43 +0000 UTCKeep on keeping on, Sheep! Best wishes on the moving in shenanigans haha. You’ve definitely come a hell of a long way, and I can’t wait to see how far you continue to go. :) For me I think the worst part about moving (outside of packing lol) is, as sappy as it may be, the fact that I’m leaving behind so many memories. Sure you take much of the stuff with you, but leaving the past behind is almost always a bittersweet thing in my opinion. But, conversely, the best thing about moving is the chance to make so many more new memories. Leave the good and the bad behind to do your best to make more good!

2021-08-27 05:47:13 +0000 UTCI completely relate. You are such a champion for that, and I bet it must've felt really accomplishing getting that first set too. This is very relatable, as I originally lived on my own at age 16, until recently. My parents are wealthy, but I was estranged from them for a long time. During the process and even now in my adult years it feels amazing whenever I gain something to make my living space more practical and comfortable. I'm happy for your achievements!

2021-08-26 19:41:25 +0000 UTCGlad you finally got settled in. Well for me when I moved out to start my own life, I lived with a roommate. And I came from a rather poor household. So for the first 6 months or so I slept on a legit baby bed (4 feet long 3 feet wide) with my legs sticking off the bed and everything lol. Until I was able to buy my first bed set.

2021-08-26 15:51:12 +0000 UTCCongrats!! Hope everything continues going smoothly. I'd say the best part of moving in is the opportunity to really evaluate what you want to keep from your old place and the feeling of starting fresh with unlimited potential, it can be such a great way to break yourself out of old habits as well. But the worst part is how long it can take for a new place to truly 'feel like home' and be a place you can truly relax.
