IGSAGCSAWAYSH) Playing Defense Against An Angry Mob Part 1
Added 2024-03-11 04:27:21 +0000 UTC“Wait, Sword Saint, I apologize for my rude behavior, but we can not fend off such a massive stampede by ourselves!” the lead guard was practically begging at this point, seeing how firm Lishia was being.
“I already said I would not be dealing with any of this crap. You can’t just expect me to stop what I am doing when you people have not done much for me in return. I only wanted to rest in your village for a few days and already there are many people plotting against my friend. She can’t even leave the inn in fear that you will people cause a scene and try to get her arrested. Just yesterday, there were people following me! Do you really think I am stupid? Do you think I do not know your plans?” Lishia laid everything out on the table. She couldn’t care less what the people of this town thought or tried to do. She would protect her friends, and that was that.
“This…. I have no idea what you are talking about. No one has tried to cause any problems for the Fall….”
“Are you a bird? Did you forget what happened just three seconds ago!? You just tried to barge into my fucking room and arrest my friend! Get out…. Get out now before I kill you myself.” Lishia’s voice turned cold. Her hand grabbed the hilt of her sword. “I will not ask again.”
“We… we are leaving….. But people will die because you are protecting a Fallen!”
“Then maybe you shouldn’t have placed monster bait in the orchard. Your current situation was all because you listened to a priest who was only out for his own gains. Now, you and the people of this town will suffer because of it.” Shizuku suddenly said with a snort. One of her shadow guards sent her a message through their special technique that allowed their voice to travel into a target’s ear. These two guards were part of the original meeting.
“You! This would not be the case if you, a dirty monster like you, just stayed out of human towns!” One of the guards yelled.
“Don’t worry, this Inn will not be harmed in any way. That goes for those within the building as well. Since the owner has been so nice to us, I have to make sure I return the favor. I am a big believer in the idiom an eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth. Only do on to others what you wish done on to you. Kindness gets you further than threats. But let me warn you. As soon as you draw your sword towards me or my friends, I will not hesitate to hunt you down. Now get out of here before I make you leave through the window.” Shizuku walked back into the room slamming the door behind her. She wondered just what these people would do next.
“Everyone pack up and get ready to leave at any moment. Forcefully if needed.” Shizuku wanted to be ready for anything.

“That fucking Fallen! Who does she think she is!? She is looking down on us humans just because the Sword Saint is backing her. And what the hell is with the Sword Saint? Why is she even protecting that filthy beast?” The guard that had begged Lishia before, had no place to place his anger, so he could only yell it out.
“What if we do this? What if we spread a rumor that it was the Fallen Vampire girl who had placed monster bait throughout the city to cause many deaths? We only need to let the monsters rampage a little. A few citizens dying is no big deal if we can take that bitch out and deal a blow to the Sword Saint.”
“This is a great idea. Let me run it by the head priest. I am sure he will be happy to set this kind of thing up.”
A little while later, the two guards had already explained things to the head priest. He rubbed his chin and nodded his head. “This will work. We can ruin the Sword Saint’s image and deal with the Fallen. The Sword Saint should realize who she is messing with. She should never have defied the church and humans by siding with a Fallen. Go out and begin spreading the word. I want to see a large crowd outside the inn. Burn the entire inn down if need be.”
“Understood.” The two guards’ lips curled up into cruel smiles. They did not even seem to care that they were about to harm innocent people.

“So, how is it?” Shizuku asked.
“There are a number of people outside the inn. They are yelling for you to come down.” Number One replied.
“Is the Inn’s owner and her family safe?” Shizuku had her shadow guards bring the inn owner and her family to a safer location just in case. She had expected something like this to happen when she saw how angered the two guards were. They even moved faster than she had originally thought.
“They are in a safe location. Number Seven and Number Six are protecting them.”
“Good, take out anyone who dares to try to cause any damage to the inn. Make it look like an accident. This place we will hold for the time being.”
