“I don’t need to come down to deal with an ant like you.” The old man snorted and suddenly shot out a wave of power towards Yuki. Yuki felt a sharp pain in her head, causing her to stumble backward. 

“Ah….” Yuki had never experienced this kind of attack before. Her head felt like it was about to explode. 

“Hahaha! An ant will always be an ant. You are nothing but a frog in a well who has no idea how big the world is. Now die!” The old man’s face twisted in a crazed light as he sent out another more powerful wave of energy. But just as it was about to slam into Yuki, a figure appeared before her and swatted the mental attack away. 

“Attacking a junior is not something one should be doing. At least not something someone from the higher realm should be doing.” 

“Who…. Who are you!?” The old man asked. He could feel that this woman was not simple. 

“Who I am does not matter. You only need to know that someone from an inferior path is nothing in my eyes. You will not be able to touch her or anyone she cares about as long as I am here to protect her.” The woman had long silver hair and deep blue icy eyes. Her entire being gave off a cold chill that froze one down to their bones.

“Humph! Then protect her well. Because if she ever steps foot in this realm, I will be sure to kill her.” The old man snorted. He knew it was better to retreat now than to test how strong this woman was. He felt a tinge of fear when he looked at her.

“That is if you are still able to get up. One must be repaid for what they have given.” The woman suddenly waved her hand. A sharp, icy aura shot out and stabbed into the floating giant head. The old man let out a scream of pain before disappearing from sight.

In the upper realm, inside a lavish mansion, an old man sat in a dark room with his eyes closed. His eyes suddenly shot open, and blood began to pour out of his mouth. “How!?” Was all he could say before fainting.

“Th-thank you….” Yuki was still slightly dizzy. She did not know who this woman was, but she had just saved her.

“I am only doing a favor someone asked of me. You need to be careful when dealing with those of a higher realm. Even if it is the false path they will still have the ability to attack your soul using mental attacks.” The young woman smiled as she gently placed her finger on Yuki’s forehead. 

Yuki felt a slight coldness enter her head before her mind began to clear up. The dizziness she had was now gone. “Once more, thank you. May I ask who you are? My name is Ten Yuki.”

“My name is Rize. A friend asked me to look after you to keep the bugs from the upper realms from trying anything.” Rize replied with a smile.

“I ask, that unless I am about to meet my end that you do not step in. Otherwise, I will grow weak.” Yuki did not wish for anyone to help her in battle unless she was going to die. 

“Don’t worry, I am only to protect you until you have grown a bit more. But I do need to talk to a certain someone who is by your side if you do not mind.” Rize’s words spurred Yuki’s curiosity. She some how felt that Delia might get beaten up.

“Umm…. If it is Delia, can you umm…. Not beat her too much. Deep down, she is a good girl.” Delia was one of her wives, so of course, she had to try to protect her.

“Don’t worry, she will be able to walk after a week.” Rize’s smile did not reach her eyes. Yuki had a feeling Delia would probably try to run as soon as she saw this woman. She wanted to ask why, but the icy stare she was getting from Rize made her hold her questions in.

“Then I will just have to tend to her wounds.” Yuki dropped the subject there. “Now, let me finish off this id… Hmmm… seems he escaped.”

“That old bastard had given the young man many good things. I will never understand why people with no ability are treated as if they were heaven-chosen.” Rize sighed. “Those injuries will probably lead to more people from the higher realms coming down to try to fight with you. But there will be no issues as long as they do not break their seals. Only a select few are able to come down to the mortal realm without being sealed. I am one of them. You can consider it a luxury of my position.”

“I see… then I thank you in advance. We should probably head back. I need to go check on the others.” Yuki sighed and turned to her sect master, who had his head lowered this entire time. “Sect Master?”

“Yuki, I am sorry, there was nothing I could do….”
