IGSAGCSAWAYSH) A Plot Unfolding Part 2
Added 2024-03-10 05:01:04 +0000 UTCNight settled in and two shadows were making their way across the moonlit meadow. They quickly arrived at the forest’s edge where they tossed something into the tree line before turning and running away. Loud cries began to fill the night as the monsters of the forest all moved toward the strange scent that had roused their anger.
“Hurry up!” One of the shadows yelled out. They had good reason to need to rush their companion and that was because behind them monsters had begun to race out of the forest.
“I am running as fast as I can.” The other shadow cried out.
They were both running as fast as they could and unable to watch their footing. The first shadow’s foot got tangled in some tall weeds and ended up tripping. This caused the other shadow to trip over his companion’s body, and they both ended up falling to the ground. This error was the last thing the two shadows would ever get to do again. The monsters that had been catching up caught up and began feasting on the two shadows. Their pained cries only lasted a few seconds before they were torn to shreds.
The monsters continued moving towards the scent coming from a certain location. The monster bait that had been placed in the orchard was now doing its job. At the same time as the monsters were stampeding towards the orchard, alarm bells were ringing loudly through out the village.
Shizuku and the girls were already awake and were all sitting in the living area, talking about this and that. When the bells began going off, Shizuku could only sigh as she leaned into Mei’s chest. “It’s starting.”
“They will no doubt come and ask me for help. But I won’t…. Anyone who plots against those close to me will not get any help from me.” Lishia snorted. “Plus, now this is ruining our time together.”
“You sound like a wife who just had her long-awaited date ruined.” Shizuku teased.
“I wanted to see your cute sexy face again…” Lishia replied but her voice got lower as she realized what she was saying. In the end, Lishia still seemed quite innocent even though she had already been intimate with Shizuku.
“So this is why you wanted to be my slave.” Shizuku couldn’t help but tease Lishia a bit more. But the fun was soon interrupted when a knock came at the door.
Shizuku got up and walked to the door and opened it. “Can I help you?”
She ahd only just spoke when the two town guards tried to push by her and storm into the room. Luckily she was ready for such a scene and quickly slammed her foot into the door jam blocking their path. She was leaning against the other side of the door jam while propping her foot up on the other side. “You know it is very rude to try to enter a ladies room without asking first.”
“A Fallen has no rights to begin with. We are here on official business so now move, or we will have no choice but to arrest you.” One of the guards replied. His anger and hate were unmasked as he tried to stare Shizuku down.
“If I were you, I wouldn’t touch a hair on her body, or you and this town might see ruin.” Lishia suddenly walked over with her sword drawn, “Showing any kind of hate or malice towards my friends makes me itch to cut someone’s head off.”
“Sword Saint we are not here to try to anger you, but we are in a hurry, the orchard and town are under attack by a monster stampede. We came here to ask for your assistance.” One of the guards was smart and tried to change the subject while asking for help. He even stated the reason why he was being so rude.
“What does your orchard have to do with me? The town also has enough guards to ward off a monster stampede, so I do not think I am needed. But I tell you what. I will guard this inn. If any monsters try to harm the people of this end, I will be sure to protect them okay?” Lishia smiled brightly as she finished what she was saying but that smile slowly turned into a thin line as she coldly added: “Now leave.”
“Wha!? Sword Saint are you really going to ignore the people of this village!? We rely on the orchard to make our living. If you do not help us it will all be lost, many lives will also be lost!” The guard who had requested aid never thought for a second that the Sword Saint would ignore their request. This was not within their calculations.
“I said I would protect the inn. I am on vacation; I am not on a job. I think I have helped this town quite a bit. And in return, I get nothing but rude behavior towards my friend. I mean, you did just try to barge into my room and even threatened to arrest my friend for barring your path. As a guard, you should know you can not just enter a room because you feel like it. It was lucky she did block you from entering I was getting undressed!”
