Hi Guys,
It's a new month so I am pleased to be able to announce a new feature I will be adding to the OSR2 this month.
Working on SSR1 has been taking up a lot of my time, but as you know I like to get out regular hardware releases for you guys. This is a feature that has been frequently requested, so it seemed like a great opportunity for me to finally get around to it.
Those of you who have read my build documents will know that I believe that self care is very important when you are engaged in self care. That's why I go to great lengths to urge you guys to exercise due caution around hobby electronics, moving parts, hot components and so on.
One aspect that frequently gets overlooked, however, is the importance of staying hydrated whilst you are using your device. This can be problematic, especially because leaving your device to go and get something to drink can be inconvenient and awkward once you have installed yourself in front of your stroker device.
With this in mind, I have come up with what I believe to be an excellent solution, which I have incorporated into the OSR2 receiver. If there is interest, I will follow it up with a version that's also compatible with the SR6 receiver.
What I have done is added a cup or beverage holder to the OSR2 receiver. It's a modular design, so no re-print of the OSR2 receiver is required and it will work equally well with both the basic or twist receivers. Adding the cup holder directly to the receiver means that your source of hydration is optimally placed for quick access within arms reach. You don't have to move or lean forward at all once you have found a comfortable position.
I needed a name for this new feature, and to keep it in line with my current set of optional add-ons for OSR2 and SR6 I have called it the T-cup. I hope you guys like it.
The current version is scaled to a standardised cup diameter, but as always I'm happy to take feedback and potentially produce a range of different diameters to suit all cup sizes. I will also be recommending a covered cup for hot drinks because, depending on what sort of content you are using your OSR2 with, some spillage can be an issue. Hopefully I can address this issue better as we move to the Beta version of this design.
I'll cover the rest of what's going on this month in a subsequent post. I was just excited about this development and I wanted to share it with you as soon as possible. I hope you like it too.
