It's been a busy month--mostly in my real life, but I'm keeping the roleplaying plates spinning as well.
On Candy County, I continue to write notes in my project notebook (an essential part of my writing process, I like to have just a giant pile of potential ideas before I begin truly writing), and commissioning art from Sam and Caleb.
On Into the Oddish, I have written 15 character backgrounds (i.e., Pokemon) and their evolutions, and have gotten the ball rolling on both covers.
On a secret project (one I get the team on board, it will become unsecret, but I don't want to prematurely get hopes up), I have begun talking with writers and artists. More to come!
On Prismatic Wasteland, I continue tinkering with my rules document, but nothing major this month, other than sharpening my language rules, which I wrote about on the ole blog.
That's mostly it on the RPG front. In the real life front, I had hoped to be able to quit my day job by now, but for financial and other reasons, that isn't feasible. But still crossing fingers that it is on the horizon... But this week felt not un-productive with RPGs even though I worked about 250 hours and traveled to a few different states for the day job. But, then again, I didn't have any time to actually play games this month. That's gotta change.
OH, also I hosted a blog challenge, the New Years Resolution (Mechanic) challenge, which received 60 submissions! Not a bad start to the year.
Cheers,
W.F. Smith
