POST # 37 - Creating Intro
Added 2020-06-29 08:45:13 +0000 UTCWe need to share some details on the creation of this intro clip. The voice behind the video belongs to the manager of the gladiator's team. We planned him as a former gladiator, one who has seen it all in the arena and survived because of his skill at treachery and deception more than his fighting skills, and who enjoys his privileged position now. He is an absolute sadistic ass, as you can easily tell by his manner of speaking. Maybe an ideal manager for the world of Glorification? LOL!
We were inspired by the actor Klaus Kinski, by his acting talent and his cool looks. In my mind he looks absolutely awesome for the role. If you don't know how the incredible actor looks, here are photos of him.
Our voice actor told us that he looked at the photos for a long time, imagining that he was Klaus Kinski. Then he recorded the voice in the dark of the night. Sitting along in total darkness he tested recording his voice in the bathroom, in the kitchen, in the bedroom - searching for the ideal acoustic. And, he hadn't shaved for more than a week, to help him feel more attached to the role. (We have no idea why he decided that being unshaved would help his voice acting...) And, he made about 30 attempts before we found the incredible performance in our intro clip.
