Not sure exactly where to start but with thinking back, I had no clear understanding of form, line weight, etc.
So definitely for my first two images of Zena in pic 1, she's heavily pulled from Hell Knight Ingrid.
I knew that adults and/or mature characters usually have more of a slender facial structure or longer than the usual rounded faces of younger/innocent characters.
So I was studying how to get the hang of drawing faces by observing how adults were drawn in various books and shows.

Wanting to step away from being so close to Ingrid's look, I was working to get a sense of my own style by the 2nd pic which would be my third time giving her a try.
By the 3rd pic I studied more into form and structure and during this time, it was nice to finally see everything beginning to find it's place. Where her eyes would rest, the type of look she'd give during certain emotions, etc. Still much to go but was nice to get some focus.
By pic 4 a new character is introduced and it feels as if I went back a few steps. I think with working on many projects at once, I was having issues keeping up with all my focus on studying art as much as I wanted. I definitely had to sort out a proper schedule that allowed me to bring in drawing practice daily verses every now and then.
Callidora needed much improvement and as much as I was glad to get the video uploaded to YT, I was determined not to upload the next one until I could feel satisfied in giving the ladies the look I can approve of.
Thus brings us to pics 5 and 6. I really like the color of both, the highlight is better, the hair i'm starting to get the hang of how it frames the face and may fall along the shoulder, and so forth.
Though there's always something to master and enhance, it's nice to look back and see progression.
Thanks for reading, and I look forward to the upcoming Acts.
