Introduction-

The Asmodi are an intense people, known across the galaxy for their appearances and cultured minds. A knowledgeable and emotional people, they are a common sight in many art fields. Sharp of mind and lithe of body, their troubled past has lead them to an enlightened future. 

Physiology-

The only sentient species that arose on the world of Asmot. Due to its high iron and oxygen concentration, most of its life has a red to blue color spectrum along with a greater physical ferocity. Asmodi arose as descendants of an apex predator and as such are prone to bouts of rage fueled strength. In order to ensure survival, being presented with a greater challenger will send the Asmodi into a submissive state. In order to discourage aggression in mating Asmodi possess the ability to surround themselves with a pheromone cloud, making themselves appear more appealing to potential mates. As they developed social structures these pheromones became more tailored, allowing them to stimulate the emotions they felt in others. This creates the emotional intensity most feel when dealing with them. Combined with their naturally occurring beauty, they are considered aesthetically pleasing by many races.

History-

The Asmodi were originally a series of warring clans, brutally fighting for local feudal warlords all the way until their atomic age. After a series of massive wars that destroyed up to 2/5ths of their population, they were united by Tobita the Humble. A young maiden of low standing, Tobita spent most of her time learning psychology and resource management. She then published a controversial pamphlet that spoke of the idea of unifying the entire race into confederated republic, forging the warring states into a government that could solve their disagreements with politics and diplomacy rather than the bloody wars that shadowed her youth. Many Asmodi, desperate to try and escape the viciousness that had taken friends and family from them, began to back this strange upstart. The change from feudal states to constitutional republic was almost instantaneous compared to other races, taking only three generations. As the Asmodi became strangers to war, they began to develop methods to ensure their fiery tempers would not destroy their hard earned piece.

Culture-

In an attempt to reign in their incendiary will, most major populations practice the cultivation of various arts and calming activities. Regardless of their chosen profession, all Asmodi will likely be an exceedingly skilled painter, scholar, writer, or some other passionate hobby. Asmodi have often used their racial beauty to become famous in their chosen fields. Many subcultures have arisen around the following of certain Asmodi and their works, often with a dedicated following of fans. Many Asmodi are considerate and respecting of their fans, but most considered them peons and not much more. This is common in most segments of Asmodi that interact with other races. Asmodi will often consider their opinions or contributions to be worth more than those of the other uneducated races, much to the shagrin of diplomats.

Federation-

The Asmodi met the Federation as both were beginning to explore the stars, both peoples met under friendly terms and began to trade goods and culture. The Asmodi, in seeing that these newcomers were in much need of the more civilized things in the galaxy. Deciding to hitch themselves to the rising star of the Federation, and in doing so offered themselves as cultural and diplomatic leaders. Ever since they have been a mainstay of the Federation, providing a pretty face and a sophisticated wit.
