Hey it's Noce, Poet and Smiles have written lore for two of our species, Humans and the Raduga. Poet is handling the Humans and there will be A LOT more for them in History class where our fun history is going to be used in your class report, which should be used for the lewds. But Smiles is being set on working on articles for existing and upcoming species so we can learn all about their rich history and culture (and hints at their lewdness). So here's to these articles made for people with no idea about aliens

Survivors of a bizarre apocalypse that gave them passionate drives, avid xenophilia, and totally non uniform appearances. The Raduga are the everyman of Federation, serving as clerks, miners, admirals, and more but most well known for their artistic pursuits.
Are theorized to be closest to the Precursors before their transformation, are truly random as a species, if they still can be called that, possess a wide variety of features and cultures to the point of extremes. Everything from their pigmentation, ears, teeth, pupils, hair, feet, hands, and even at times their skulls are never the same among any of two of them. They also suffer from a higher amount of birth defects and congenital diseases than average Federation species, which has led to large amounts of genetic tailoring in there race, highlighting this disparity. Like their appearances, their biological functions aren’t consistent universally with their lifespan being infamously a dice roll.
Originally from a small medieval society of people on the small moon of Radug, they discovered a Precursor terraformer on their homeworld. Entering this large contraption, they accidentally activated part of it, destroying the protective ozone layer of their homeworld. The radiation levels caused over ninety percent of their race to develop lethal mutations and die, but those that survived were exposed to clouds of nanites. This resulted in the lethal mutations being mass directed, resulting in millions of years of directed evolution occuring in a dozen generations. While this ensured their survival, the result was a varied and random populace, who salvaged the technology of the terraformer, becoming a space culture instantly. They began to spread across the star system of Radum, colonizing multitudes of heavenly bodies, until they encountered Federation scouts.
The Raduga like their appearance have no dominant culture, religion, philosophy or language, they are only united by common themes such as a love of color and of other cultures. Raduga live less among themselves and more among those that they feel they share a similar mindset with. Raduga often migrate as individuals or groups to follow their passions. Raduga believe they are a race only united by their shared passionate drives, oddities, and love of discovery. Thus they form the cultural heart and the soul of the Federation as exchangers and innovators whose works resonate among all.
The vaguely allied and sporadic groups of the Radugas first encountered federation ships around 200 years after they began to leave their homeworld. The Federation had no prior contacts and skipped their world in surveys and faced the threat of a spacer culture that might prey on them. Fortunately the Raduga and Federation achieved a peaceful contact, with the Federation ascertaining that the Raduga could be aligned and integrated. With a treaty to stabilize Radug’s environment and establish an alliance which led their membership in the Federation. And the subsequent scattering of the Raduga to every corner of the Federation.

Humans or Humanity are a people made by harsh exiles and empires across the vastness of space far from their battered homeworld, with a troubled history that once put them at odds with the Federation. But with a changing Galaxy, they now are most recent member species of our Federation joining under special status in recognition of their proven ability and goodwill for moving to support liberty, stability, and prosperity. As a species they are still integrating and finding their place in the Federation but surely have a bright future among the brotherhood of free peoples.
Humans are a humanoid species that evolved from Mammalian primates that became bipedal over a long period of development. They follow the mold of other species considered most similar to the Precursors, with their symmetric bodies, simple frames, lack of exotic elements, and limited variation of features. Humans have internal fertilization for their reproduction, have rather limited lifespans, and are under average in their physique. Humanity despite their history of modification, lineages, and isolation has no subspecies due to their stable biology.
Humanity’s development on Earth was marked greatly by numerous climatic events and long historical processes, with the power of civilization of Earth shifting over the ages. Humanity’s steps into the stars were done by competing superpowers that rapidly settled and secured their Solar System for their own interests. These solar colonies would be stranded by Earth’s devastation in its final world war which led the another great war between Earth’s Moon of Luna and the Red Planet of Mars over human destiny. This interplanetary war would be won by Luna who then established a tyrannical reign over Humanity. This would result in five fleets of dissidents fleeing into space to found their own domains with Luna following after them. This Hexarchy would expand and interact with the rest of the Galaxy as distinct and independent states vying for their own interests. This period would end as external threats and internal ambitions led to unification wars where in the end all of humanity was united under a single state called the Commonwealth. This Human Commonwealth rose to a golden era but clashed with many in doing so.
Humans are a contradictory people, they are individualists who strongly value collectives, cosmopolitans who are proud of their provincialism, conservatives who cling to radical principles, and flexible yet intractable in their attitudes. Humans are defined strongest by the colonial legacies of the Hexarchy which form their basis of and origins for all of their regional nations. The six members were all vastly different in their origins, development, and practices yet each of them is a human expression that is still echoing. Humans though collectively regard themselves as a pioneer people for their tenacity, fortitude, and cleverness. Others see them as clannish, craving, and crazy with their at times archaic, fanatical, and conceited ways endowing them with great hubris. The truth most likely is somewhere in the middle, but humanity is capable of great self reflection and understanding given the success of cultural exchange.
Humanity clashed several times with the Federation before and after the Commonwealth’s formation, these conflicts were resolved by a final diplomatic settlement that lead to the normalization of relations. When the Dominion came into conflict with the Commonwealth and with Humanity facing defeat, the Federation intervened tp rescue Humanity. In the aftermath of the war, Humanity joined the Federation in an agreement that was unorthodox in giving them Major status at entry. Humanity as a whole has integrated but is still in the process of finding their place in the Federation, as new generations rise to take their place in the areas this species will become known for.
