Hiatus

After release, I'm going to take a month hiatus during October.

I've been working on PoR - Obsession almost nonstop since before Feb 2022 (minus the stressful insanity of April/May life drama & relocation). Almost a full year and a half. Phew! I've loved it, but I am looking forward to some downtime!

Patreon only allows me to pause billing for month-long increments, so my control here is limited. The plan:

Billing will be paused on Sept 30th and (should) resume on October 31st (or Nov 1st? IDK how Patreon will handle it exactly.) No existing members will be charged any membership fees during this time period.

NEW MEMBERS WILL STILL BE CHARGED UP FRONT IF YOU JOIN DURING THIS PERIOD. I have no control over this.

From release (Sept. 19th) until Sept 30th, I'll be focused and ready for any bug fixes or other issues that pop up during release and doing more Alexander planning.

What's Next?

In November, writing for Alexander's route will officially begin (assuming the poll demands it, which I am assuming).

This will work like all previous route developments, and I do plan for Alexander's route to be a typical sized route of at least 10 endings and CGs. Patreon members will get immediate access to the content as it is ready and sneak peeks for upper tiers, as usual.

Development time will likely be through end of the year and into January 2024.

Membership Tiers Returning!

The standard membership tiers will return on public release day (Sept. 19th). I'm still deciding if I will adjust the numbers slightly, but they'll be close to the originals.

Alexander: Patch or DLC? Free or paid?!

I don't know! Whether I charge for Alexander's route as a separate DLC or put it in the game as a free content patch fully depends on how well the game sells!

My definition of success is that I've fully covered the game expenses on artwork between the Patreon fees and the sales profits.

If it is a paid DLC, the free key for Patreon members will work just like the base game. Any Patreon member who's contributed the total cost of all their keys in fees will receive the DLC for free.

If it's paid, I imagine the cost will be somewhere around $5-10 USD, but TBD.
