Escape From Vault Disney #107: "Arendelle Castle Yule Log"

Merry Christmas! For reasons I hope will become obvious once you hear the episode, I didn't want to give you an "almost-finished cut" this time, I wanted this episode available in its entirety right off the bat. But I also don't want to release it publicly anytime after Christmas Eve, and I only finished it moments ago, so I'm sorry I have to break my "hear new episodes one day early" promise to you fine patrons this time. It'll be released publicly in just an hour or two, and I hope you enjoy this very special episode enough to make up for it. Thank you, as always, for your support and seemingly limitless indulgence.

This week, for our final Christmas episode of 2022, the randomizer goes back to 2020 to pick a piece of Disney+ original content that continued the grand holiday tradition of the televised Yule Log. Originally devised in 1966 by television executive Fred M. Thrower for New York City's WPIX, for over fifty years now the Yule Log has brought the relaxing, soothing warmth of a crackling seasonal fireplace into countless households without fireplaces of their own. And while the staticity of its very nature certainly makes it an unconventional programming choice, its place in Christmas culture is undeniable and certainly worth extensive discussion. Join Tony Goldmark and his very special guests as they curl up by the Christmas tree with a warm blanket and a mug of hot cocoa and enjoy the ARENDELLE CASTLE YULE LOG!

What the hell did I just listen to?

This was the most ludicrous episode yet and I loved every minute of it.
