What kind of music do you like/listen to?

AB12

Have you read any of James Connolly's writings?

Etchers

Have you noticed any differences in mainstream Australia's attitudes towards the Indigenous population vs. mainstream Argentina's attitudes towards theirs? I've become curious about how the conditions of different settler states impact their attitudes towards Natives

Jillian

I'm gonna take a shot at contributing to the answer and say this; In my understanding, settlers are people that come from non-Indigenous communities and live on Indigenous lands as part of a settler-colonial state. Immigrants are people that move in/"migrate in", but aren't necessarily part of that system of oppression. In other words, the term "immigration" refers to the pattern of movement, while the term "settler" refers to the immigrant's relationship to the land they've come to live on.

This might be out of the scope for a Patreon QnA but where would you say the line is between immigrant and settler? For example, someone immigrating from Britain to the Americans and settling there is obviously a settler colonist, but what about, say, someone from China? Or even during the Italian mass migration from impoverished southern Italy as opposed to migration from industrialized, imperial northern Italy (in the mid-to-late 19th century)?

The drama is a good way to get people interested in the larger issues. A lot of people in the US and Canada, the general vibe is not caring about Israel/Palestine or just supporting the status quo bc ppl just don't know how bad it truly is.

Naomi Starlight

Do you think people who live in the US (with the opportunity to leave) should leave it or stay and try to make it better?

Naomi Starlight

When are you going on the deprogram

Adam Heitzmann

I second this

You once asked for an Engals type to fund you. What would you do if you had say 50k? Don't get excited I don't have that kind of money.

Prior to COVID you expressed interest in visiting Cuba for a video. Do you think that kind of travel is viable for you in a post-COVID world?

aismallard

I think that depends on the conditions in the community, but generally just being present, helping people in clearly good ways (providing material aid, working in soup kitchens, donating food) and having brief discussions about basic political ideas.

Can you do another cooking stream? I like history and food. Thanks

Claudia

How should we spread our ideals in the local community?
