Character Habits (temper)

So characters and how they get mad. 8D I thought this one would be interesting to do though a lot of the characters never really show off their temper in the game events.

I view this chart as dealing with major offences and arguments - not people getting mad over petty things or just normal relationship stuff.

None of them are the sort to rage at someone over something trivial. I feel like when you work with someone in a very isolated and cramped environment for long periods, as they do, you have to learn to not get mad over stupid stuff all the time otherwise you'll never manage.

That's why you actually do not see most of them truly angry during the game - in their interpersonal interactions, none of them get more than just annoyed at each other here and there. And during the story events that warrant genuine anger, things are mostly happening too fast for them to actually have time to be angry.

Quick vs Slow - To no one's surprise, Raif is at the far left of this chart while Yren is at the far right. The thing about Raif, though, is that the things that tend to make him angry revolve much more around there being a disconnect between what people are showing outwardly vs what he knows is going on internally. He hates deception and that's where he really tends to get annoyed at people. Noel, on the other hand, has a lot of control so it can be difficult to tell if he's angry or not. But he's nearly always angry on someone else's behalf rather than his own these days.

Terrifying vs Hilarious - We all know there are some people you do not want to piss off and others that you kind of do...because it's funny. Asher is someone who is sort of amusing when he's angry and, of course, Raif too. Depending on why he's angry (he can be a little terrifying when he's well and truly mad...but he can also be pretty funny if he's just irritated). Yren on the other hand is even more terrifying than Kav. and Kav's anger is apparently stuff of legends for those who've seen it...

Explosive vs Frigid - No one on the crew has a truly explosive temper in the sense of throwing things or slamming doors (I mean, all the doors on the ship are automatic anyway) but the most explosive temper is, of course, Raif. He's more verbally explosive though. Yren, predictably, descends to absolute zero when he's pissed off. I always find freezing tempers more terrifying than explosive ones though. So maybe that's why Yren is also the most terrifying one. Ha ha.

Flash vs Lasting - And finally, who gets over things fast and who holds grudges. In real life it always feels like people with more explosive or outwardly visible tempers also tend to be the ones that get over things faster. They have a flash of anger/annoyance but that emotional release helps them move on faster. That's why Raif - who really does not hold things in - will also move on quickly. Because he'll tell you he's mad. Leave the room in a HUFF. And then cool down on his own. Kav, on the other hand, holds grudges in a very terrifying way.
