Hallooooooo~~oo! Time for this week's update. Sorry it's coming a bit later than usual. Nicky returned from his trip so I've been distracted all day!

Anyway, let's jump in!

Summary

• FINISHED EDITING CHAPTER EIGHT

• Proofread chapter 8

• Formatted the code for chapter 8

Writing

Okay. So I am DONE with chapter 8. Finally. OMG.

I managed to get through the rest of the content for the revision, then went back to proofread everything. And finally I imported the code to Renpy and got it formatted.

There are so many large and small variations in this section. So that's ultimately why it took forever to edit and proofread.

I'm sure I'll do more edits when I get to the point of doing a proper playthrough of the characters as well, just to smooth things out.

All said, the coded version of the chapter ended up at 58,000 words. It's currently the third largest chapter in the game.

The total word count is 533,000 words at the moment and of that, about 338,000 words are coded. So. LoL

The next chapter is fairly short - like half the length of the last few chapters. It's kind of a wrap up for act II and set up for the start of act III in the story. My stories don't tend to rigidly follow an act structure but you can sort of loosely divide them up that way. So yeah.

The next chapter is also more of a 'talking chapter' where it's mostly characters talking and reacting to what others have told them- so no big action scenes or anything like that. Talking, character development and some emotional scenes.

So I'm hoping that means it's going to be fairly easy to edit. But who knows at this point?

I just got a new completed BG like...20 minutes ago! LoL

BGs are right around 60% complete.

Upcoming

This week I will be focusing on revising chapter 9. As I mentioned above, this is a more character interaction oriented chapter.

I am expecting it to be somewhat easier to edit. BUT I know I have to make some changes to a long conversation with [Spoilers] because of plot changes and motivation changes added during Asher's edit. So I'm most likely going to have to spend some time pulling things into continuity alignment.

Additionally, I may need to add in some "No LI" options to some scenes after said conversation with [Spoilers]. But I may not. I'm not sure yet on that one.

Anyway, point being that I actually don't know how heavy the revisions in this chapter need to be.

But since this chapter is way, way shorter...I'm still hoping I can get through it a little faster than the previous chapters.
