I finally know the origin of 1 of the famous movie killers!! I'm really curious to see Halloween though since that will help me be able to differentiate between the two movies.
They did a good job making every damn scene so tense 🤣
For this style of reaction, you need your own copy to watch the movie. You can set picture in picture by right clicking twice on the video and selecting "Picture in picture". The right clicking twice is a bit tricky, because you have to right click, then move your cursor so it's not on the menu, then right click again

Special effects is always fascinating to see. I had a zombie bite on me for a short film and seeing someone make it look so realistic is such a treat!!

2025-10-11 19:23:15 +0000 UTCAll praise to the masterful special effects and gore effects by Tom Savini. He used prosthetics to create kills we see on screen. He had just done work on George Romero’s Dawn of the Dead (1978), another movie you should watch, but it is rather difficult to find. The snake was completely real and was unfortunately killed during filming of this movie.

2025-10-07 00:16:23 +0000 UTCI’ve now finally seen the OG Friday The 13th movie, yay, and it was better than I expected. With Scream being my favourite scary movie franchise, I had a lot of fun picking up all of the references and nods they put into the first Scream movie. It did mean I already knew who the killer was as it was part of Drew Barrymore’s survival quiz, which she failed. Speaking of which, I now see how subverting expectations early on was also probably taken from this movie with the lovely, perky Annie being the first victim, I really wasn’t expecting that. I liked her. Then there is the survivor girl (not the first I know), “I’ll be right back”, and of course…nipples 😁. I’m sure there’s others I either missed or forgot about. Vero a few minutes in: “Time to kill everyone” - seems a bit harsh, I didn’t think their singing was that bad 😁
