Writer's Summary:
The Listener is quite an introverted guy who’d rather stay inside and play games than go out and socialize, yet he gets along with his goth roommate who always has people around her. In fact, they get along so well that if the listener ever bothered to go out when she invites him, the people around them would probably think they were dating. Today, she comes home from her job at an alt music store groaning (as usual) at all the people hitting on her and wants to vent (as usual). But, this time when she invites him out, for some reason she lets him know that if he went out and socialized… he’d probably be really popular. Their feelings for each other are about to finally be known…

It's funny, because back when I was in school I would always hang around the goth kids, because everyone avoided them and the goth kids never spoke to me. It was the perfect symbiotic relationship for an introvert such as myself, though I did and still do wonder if they ever found my presence bothersome.
