Fun facts: The scenes in the hallway with Ross, Rachel, Phoebe and Joey in E8 were shot in one continuous take. This meant they had to learn 20 pages straight rather than the usual 4 and then take a break while another scene was shot. On the other hand, there was often a hour between takes for Monica and Chandler's scenes. Also, in the 'floating heads' scene, the actors were very uncomfortable so they did the scene in one take. David Schwimmer had to stand on a box to get the height. Chandler make up the names Bert (for Joey) and Ernie (his caretaker), two characters of Sesame Street. He also mentions how the two "have a big yellow bird", referring to Big Bird from the show. Ironically, in 2x16, Joey said "we're not Bert and Ernie". In E8, Joey says "fine, you enjoy thanksgiving just the 3 of you" when Monica and Chandler lock everyone out. Courteney Cox was actually pregnant during this episode and for the remainder of the season. In E7, Ross jokingly says his next wedding will be on a beach at sunset. That is how Matt LaBlanc got married a couple of years after that. This is the second time Ross ends up hurting his head while with Rachel, as in 1x05 he walked into the dryer door after she'd kissed him. In the commentary for the episode, Marta Kauffman explains that Jennifer in particular was very much against the idea that Rachel would put her daughter through a beauty pageant. Goofs/continuity/character errors: Rachel tries to open Monica and Chandler's locked door with her old key, which she says she's had since she moved out. However, in 6x06 when Rachel is moving out, she returns her key to Monica. And, even if she hadn't, in 8x03, Joey and Phoebe have Treeger break down the door, which leads to him changing the lock, so Rachel's old key wouldn't have worked (unless Monica and Chandler somehow changed the lock back). Ross says that Charlie is the only attractive paleontologist in existence. But he dated Julie in S2 and went out with Cheryl in S4 (the dirty girl). Ross should know that spiders are venomous, not poisonous, due to the way they administer their toxins.
