Hey guys! This month I read Wish you Were Here by Jodi Picoult. I recognised the name - she's written like 30 books by now - but couldn't say I've ever read one... until now...
There's quite a big spoiler in this book so I'll tiptoe around it but essentially my reading experience went like this:
*First half of the book* Okay this is fine, I get it. I think I know how it's going to finish and what our protagonist woman is going to do
*Something happens* Uhhhhhh excuse me is this a joke lol
I'll say this: I read this book pretty fast. It felt like it moved quickly, it was easy to read and I didn't have to force myself to complete it. But Lordy, I did not think it was a good book lol sometimes it's just like that! And it's a good reminder that when you DO read a good book, they stand out more...
Read this one at your own risk, I was pretty annoyed lol Let me know your thoughts below in non-spoiler terms!!
