Wow!!

We watched the new series The Investigation on BBC IPlayer - wow! It's a tough watch and a slow burn, but really well done. The show covers the recent murder of journalist Kim Wall in Denmark after she boarded a homemade submarine. You might have heard it about - the story is equally bonkers and awful.

The show is obviously done in subtitles (so get ready to pay attention) but I really loved it. Great acting and although it was slow, I think it portrayed the investigation very close to reality.

Very good but be ready to watch something lighthearted before bed!

Wow!!

I'm not usually a Scandi-noir fan, but this series is brilliant. Watched 5/6 episodes so far.

Like most Scandie Dramas I expect it is dark. Have got used to them having subtitles, a lot of Scandinavian languages have a similarity to English as are classed as Germanic languages, like English. The Northern Dialects in the UK have Danish and Norwegian roots. Unfortunately even using a VPN I can't log into IPlayer from IE as the BBC know all of my Email addresses from using other sites and the purchase of the Countryfile Calendar and donations to Pudsey.

Ironic!

NB there's a tiny typo in the original post - I think autocorrect decided to change Kim to Kill

We watched The Investigation a few weeks back and it was fantastic. I appreciated a lot of the choices that the programme made about what to show and what not to show. Because we've watched a lot of Danish and other Scandinavian TV shows, we spent the first episode trying to remember where we had seen various actors before
