I FINALLY finished April's Book Club book!
Added 2021-05-17 18:01:01 +0000 UTCIt took me a little while, but I finally finished The Invidisible Life of Addie LaRue (you can buy it here if you want to read it!)
My girlfriend back home bought this for me for my latest birthday and I really enjoyed it!
It gets a bit slow in the middle and there's sections that you could certainly cut out, but it picks up once you get past the slump. I really enjoyed the plot as it's something I haven't read before - so that's always nice! It's an easy read, too, not something that needs too much brain-power. I think I'd give this one 3.5/5? Maybe a 4 on a good day.
I know a few people ended up reading this one - what did you guys think??

I really enjoyed this one. I didn't really notice the slump in the middle, I wonder if that's to do with me having the audiobook version, as it's a more passive experience, you can just kinda "tune out" the slow bits.

2021-05-22 10:24:36 +0000 UTCThis was a really hard one to judge - it started so well and the whole premise was different and interesting and carried me along easily. But then it seriously lost its way in a difficult and almost boring 100+ pages that nearly put me off altogether. I finished it but for me that early storyline could have been developed and expanded so much more at the expense of the middle section, and I felt a little let down.
