February Book Club REVIEW! It was OK!

It's a very "David Wong" title and was a very "David Wong" book!
While it wasn't my favourite novel by him, it was certainly fine. A solid 3/5 I think. I reaaaallllly loved his previous books in the "John Dies at the End" series. But this one was still OK (and interesting enough for me to finish it!)

Brockway was another guy who wrote at Cracked alongside David Wong, so I guess they have a bunch in common. His books have turned out to be pretty similar... in so far as anything can be said to be similar to anything else in this kind of fiction, similar in spirit I guess is what I mean.

2021-02-28 12:18:40 +0000 UTCAgreed - it was good enough, but probably the weakest of the JDATE/Zoey books so far. I know there's a new JDATE book due out in the next year or so, which is promising. Have you read any of Robert Brockway's books? He seems like a natural read for David Wong fans, the trilogy beginning with 'Kill All Angels' in particular.
