Fun fact: One of my ancestors, William d'Aubigny was the leader of the rebel forces, opposing King John, during the siege of Rochester Castle in the year 1215. I won't bore you with more details, but there is plenty on Wikipedia if you are interested.

Rochester did look lonely- how about using more closeups (buildings, animals, quirky things) to counteract that? I like coffee too, but in the mornings I have adopted a green tea habit for health. Twinings make a good green tea with lemon bag that keeps me going.

I go on the bike for 20 mins, no idea how far I go. Haven't found a new place yet, but it needs to be bigger than this place so more likely a house than a flat. Fingers crossed.

Cheers pal!

Thanks for the video, I am nosy so I enjoy seeing what you get up too. I hope looking for your next home is going well and that you and your family are staying safe.

I liked the trip to Rochester. Post lockdown you can visit all the places you've named smells after. Therefore tie in a perfume promotion too :) As said before I think a few words when outside would have been nice. Overall I'll give it 8 out of 9 classic castles :)

How far do you go on the bike? Have you found a new flat yet? Are you thinking flat or house?

Brett Carruthers

Yep, you can cross VLOGS off the list of things you can't do. :)

[ Aquarius ] are you the same ?? .. yes love your tea vid [ Tetley Tea ] for me also like castles and seeing Rochester castle on your vlog , is nice to see.. Alanna fantastic to watch this .The ideas and possibilities in this were great ..This could and sure will take your channel forward..Just walking around the city looking down at the pavement\ sidewalk .Showing the difference in the stones on the ground shows that you are looking at what surrounds you . Just walking down the street showing the different buildings.. Using the patrons as guineapigs is a great way to what works and what doesn't..Plus the day in the life is good to see as well ..I love thinking of ideas for different things. Once again this is good stuff πŸ‘ƒπŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘

That's a really good mix with a super relaxing feel and the split between indoors and outdoors content works well - Rochester looks like a nice place too. I know you aren't a fully paid-up member of the Kent tourist board but maybe you could squeeze in a few seconds about what you like about the places you might feature in future VLOGs, just to give some context? Gotta love a Sharwood's KormaπŸ˜„

Unfortunately the font isn't changing! lol I want something a bit cute, but thanks for the thoughts!

That's not dumb! I use the scales to weigh how many grounds I put in. Technically you're supposed to weigh the water, too, but I can never be bothered... Butler does, though, and it "totally makes a difference" πŸ™„πŸ˜‚

Nice practice video Alanna! Some thoughts (all just personal preferences of course).... 1. I love seeing outdoor videos showing places that aren't kinda big tourist sites but are nevertheless attractive and have a history. I think there's a lot of mileage in this sort of video. 2. The way you filmed Rochester was relaxed and gave a nice impression. Good soundtrack. Maybe a little bit of spoken commentary to introduce Rochester at the start would have been a useful addition. 3. Very specific personal dislike..... that font for the text -ugh. :-) As always, enjoyable Satuday morning video - thanks Alanna. stay safe!

Loved the vlog, it’s always interesting to see what other people get up to, especially when I do nothing lol... Sorry if this is a dumb question but why do you make your coffee on what looks like scales? πŸ€” (note: I’m not a coffee drinker, sorry if it’s blatantly obvious)

Any time i see a PS5 I want to cry😭 The vlog came out really well! I think you're really good at them!!
