I tried!! I really tried!
Added 2020-11-12 19:01:00 +0000 UTCI love crime and murder mysteries. I also love David Lynch. I could not love Twin Peaks, no matter how hard I tried.
I ended up Googling: "Is Twin Peaks actually good?" Maybe I just didn't get it, maybe it went over my head. Turns out, Twin Peaks came out at exactly the right time in pop culture. Watching it now in 2020 doesn't really have the same effect. I couldn't even finish it, to be honest. But I gave it a shot!
Anyone love this cult classic?? I know it's got a real following.

to be clear, I mean the BBC series: I've not seen the Robert Downey Jr film, which is a film of the same story produced some years afterward.

2020-11-12 19:09:15 +0000 UTCI watched it back again recently, before the new series came out. I really enjoyed series one, but once the killer was revealed there was no point watching any further. The way I understand it, is that the murder was always meant to be a pretext to introduce the world. It wasn't really supposed to be a murder mystery. I, like most people, liked the mystery and didn't look any further.
