I am always late!
Added 2020-09-10 18:01:00 +0000 UTCWhen it comes to most things, I am usually excruciatingly late. I just recently started playing The Witcher 3, after it was released FIVE YEARS AGO. Better late than never!
I know a lot of people have recommended the game (and it has won so many awards, so I'm not surprised) so I finally started it on Twitch. I think because it's such a big game that it was intimidating to start, but I'm glad that I did! I'm only a few hours into it, so there's lots to do still.
Anyone else out there enjoy the game?? What about the Netflix show? I haven't watched the TV show yet but I wonder how similar it is to the game...

Both the game and the Netflix series are based on the novels. I read the series and much preferred them to the Game of Thrones series that I had read prior. More lightweight and, as they are originally in Polish, the translation and European angle makes them uniquely interesting. The series is awesome, but you may need to watch it a couple of times if you have not read the books as the time sequencing is all over the place so it may be a bit hard to follow. Also keep your tongue firmly planted in your cheek as a lot of it is campy by-design. The next season will be more linear. The Witcher III game is truly superlative. It assumes you are already familiar with some of the books/graphic novels but is fine if you aren't (I played it before reading the books and long before the series). I still play it on occasion even after all these years, it is simply that good. I hope you love it as much as most people do!

2020-09-11 20:17:59 +0000 UTCI really enjoyed the show. But I've never played the games. It apparently was inspired a lot by The Witcher III. I guess some people didn't like the non linear timeline of the first season. Have you played Prince of Persia?

All the characters are written absolutely increadable, the graphics, for its time are excellent. As far as I can remember I couldn't fault the game back when I had it. Even the daft little card game was pretty fun to play lol. You will enjoy this one. Have you ever tried uncharted? They are also amazing. Mass effect is another series that is good. Just don't get the 4th one.

The Netflix show is pretty good but it took me about 4 episodes to get into it, also I'd recommend the books, they're pretty good (I've only read the 1st one tho). I've really enjoyed all of your streams of this game!! Do you think you'll play any more of it?
