Frantically trying to catch up old P vids. I'm going backwards (for Christmas). Love the cookibng vids. This reminds me of a Scottish farmhouse tea I had when we went to stay with some cousins in Stranrear (pronouced "Stranrah!). The highlight was "Tatty Scones, very similar to yours but no cheese, Eat them cold with fav toppings, sweet or savory...Yum!

I like Joel & Lia but it is fun to compare them with Adventures and Naps. J&L has many more subscribers but their videos are actually viewed by a much smaller fraction of their sub base than A&N gets: suggesting much less loyalty. Joel and Lia are also a double act and their individual channels get many fewer views and subs than Alanna gets by herself. I've thought for awhile Alanna would be perfectly good on TV. Just keep her off the cookery shows hey ;-)

Got to try this.

Graham Lavers

Thank you so much, I really appreciate it!

Hi, i'm a new patron & already considering bumping up a level or 2! Your seemingly effortless & very mature form of -complete silliness! & thoughtful kindness continues 2 win me + lots others over , apparently!👍 2 answer ur Q on how we\i discovered u on YouTube : I am also an Anglophile stuck w\ a North American accent (NYC) & my choice of topics on YouTube reflected this : BritishGP f1 race review led 2 " Joel & Lia"(GB) led 2 YouTube algorith suggesting "lindybeige" & WILTY episodes , then ultimately : 2 A&N ! A 1000 thks, Alanna👍

Adventures and Naps

I've never heard of such a thing!!

Adventures and Naps

I have not!! I didn't know ASMR and Reeses go together? lol

Adventures and Naps

yum! when have potatoes and cheese ever been disappointing?

jillian b

And what about some dog videos?

Brett Carruthers

We made Betty Crocker gluten free chocolate chip cookies yesterday. Which were alright. Potato pancakes are japanese? Speaking of asmr, have you seen those weird asmr tv commercials for Reese's Peanut Butter Cups?

Did your Mom make Jiffy Corn Bread when you were a kid? #DELICIOUS

Hi, Alanna, that was great fun, you can never do too many cooking videos. They looked nice i would happily have eaten them. Hope you're staying safe. Odd you mentioned masks in the cinema, that's starting here as well. Looking forward to your next video soon.

Stephen Parker

I like gnocchi but never made it - always seemed like too much work! I'll have to add AMSR drinking cooking video to the list.

Adventures and Naps

Ooh that sounds wonderful!! Thanks for watching!

Adventures and Naps

I would definitely add butter or a bit of milk to help with the potatoes next time - plus salt and a better cheese!

Adventures and Naps

Anything deep fried is good in my book.

Adventures and Naps

Yeah, I was surprised he didn't use any milk/butter/cream etc, just potato!

Adventures and Naps

I didn't really think they were sweet, just potato-y!

Adventures and Naps

Ooh bacon bits, yes please!

Adventures and Naps

Hiya Alanna, you've made me hungry! My dad used to make something similar but with grated potatoes. I found this recipe to try with the above suggestion of bacon lardons added! https://dairyfarmersofcanada.ca/en/canadian-goodness/recipes/grated-potato-and-cheese-casserole

Andy Mlynek

Add some bacon bits + your suggested cheddar and I think you have a fully rounded meal or perhaps thats just me.

Ian

Nice work, they looked pretty good. I have never had anything Korean but they looked like I would like them. Are they at all sweet with the Sugar you added? (that would seem odd). Anyway take care of yourself and Thanks as always.

I was always the mashed-potato expert in our house, and you needed to have mashed those spuds to within an inch of their lives, with added butter/marge and a dash of milk, until you got a lovely, smooth, cohesive texture - not crumbly! You've certainly given me an idea with these, though! Thanks Alanna! (this is your first Patreon video that I've seen!)

Steven Parkes

Congratulations on passing 200 Patrons. I have made a similar thing to these, can't remember what they were called, but you make them pretty much the same way but as balls, about the size of a golf ball, and then deep fry them.

Arthur Gatward

Fried potat and cheese? What's not to love!

Chris

I think salt would help a lot, I think he used a waxy potato which would help with the "silky" texture. I would be tempted to add butter to aid the texture and the taste Great video as always.

Simon

They look good Alanna, they have cheese so what's not to like. Korean bubble and squeak but without the squeak. I made something similar the other day with some left over mash. I mixed in some cheddar and spring onions and fried them in some butter and my goodness they were good. Great video Alanna. Good to see the dog again. Yet again left empty pawed. Take care Always.

Stephen Wadkin

Glad to hear you're keeping busy. I made gnocchi once - half an hour of pushing mashed potato through a sieve is not the most fun you can have in the kitchen! Perhaps you can do an ASMR, alcoholic, drinking video?
