Rumor Roundup: Vince McMahon Stories, Kenny Omega, Brie Bella Banned?, Raja Jackson, J Rod, More
Added 2025-08-29 17:57:40 +0000 UTCThe Friday Rumor Roundup for Fightful!
Wrestlevotes noted that multiple WWE Raw episodes in September are set for 7 PM ET. WWE did not comment when we reached out in an official capacity, but sources there told us that they may tinker with the time.
Regarding the abhorrent story that a "comedian" and former WWE writer told on a podcast (that we won't link to) that involved Ashley Massaro and Vince McMahon, nobody that we spoke to has heard that story or even heard rumors of it, so we can't speak to any veracity. The comedian in question was only with WWE a handful of months fairly recently, and wasn't with WWE even within 15 years of Ashley Massaro, so it wouldn't have been something he witnessed.
Wrestling Observer reported that Kenny Omega is in a lot of pain while continuing to work on AEW TV. Everything we've heard indicates that Omega knows he's going to be working in pain pretty well through his career, and it's been the case this year.
There are a lot of people on Facebook (of all places) claiming that Brie Bella is "banned" from WWE because of Bryan Danielson. That isn't the case, they just haven't used her. Follow SRS at Facebook.com/SeanRossSapp as he debunks more news.
Another false rumor being perpetuated was that "Vince McMahon is unhappy with WWE'S direction today." We didn't report anything of the sort, and it took a Select Answers response out of context.
We've never heard that talent were told that they couldn't speak to Vince McMahon, despite reports emerging that they were.
The rumors of Raja Jackson being booked by another indie are a publicity stunt. He's not booked by them and that's the furthest from his priority right now.
News
Indie wrestler J Rod has a short role in the TV show "Second Chances" as the character "Mouse." Fox bought the series, and it is now on Tubi. She has a short speaking role on the show. She's also just completed filming of the next two seasons of American Gladiators.
Regarding WWE ID releases, we're told this will naturally occur as the program goes on, and was always a part of the plan. There will be signings, releases and the like just as other roster spots.
The Bronson Reed "Tribal Thief" shirt was briefly pulled from WWE Shop and reposted with adjusted shoes to avoid copyright issues
Street Fighter continues to film in Australia, which is why Cody Rhodes has not been on the European tour.
A reminder that Smackdown airs early today internationally. You can watch it early, in addition to all WWE content with a Netflix subscription by using NordVPN.com/Fightful.

People will believe anything about Vince if is bad. I mean who rocks a plane? Is he an actual jackhammer??

2025-08-29 20:42:02 +0000 UTCI honestly think he just works people a ton and it gets reported as legit. Like the story of him wrestling his Belt Collector gimmick with vertigo. There's no way he had vertigo all the time but he may have had a few issues with it during matches. That doesn't sound nearly as cool. I'm assuming the Observe situation is the same: professional athletes and in some amount of pain pretty often, as good ol' JR used to say it's not ballet after all

2025-08-29 18:05:11 +0000 UTCtbh i don’t want kenny to suffer for me or for aew. he’s done incredible work and laid an indestructible foundation. if he wants to wrestle, then that’s great, but i hope he’s doing it solely for himself at this point.
