Added 2025-08-17 17:01:01 +0000 UTCAce Austin is now All Elite.
Ace Austin is a free agent no longer, as AEW Founder Tony Khan confirmed that Ace is under contract with the company. His deal with TNA was up earlier this year, and the company was hopeful to retain him, but they couldn’t agree on financial terms after negotiating. The AEW deal is multi-year in length.
In addition to Ace Austin, Fightful Select confirmed that Chris Bey’s TNA contract would have been up if not for his unfortunate accident in the ring. TNA sources indicated that Chris Bey’s deal was nearing its end, but that he is still considered with the company and is being paid under the terms of his deal.
Speaking of Bey, he spoke with Kate from Fightful at Wrestlecon.
Chris Bey said that the growth of TNA is something that he’s very proud of. Even though he isn’t there physically, he’s very happy about the company doing some of their biggest attendance gates.
He spoke highly of Leon Slater as someone that has heavily impressed him. He said the Swanton 450 is one of the best moves in wrestling. He said that he’s “the first Leon Slater,” and says that Slater is the future of the wrestling business.
Bey said he’s doing great mentally and physically as it relates to recovering. He admits there is a long way to go if he’s going to come back. It’s a struggle for him to get out of bet, but he said it’s worth it, and he appreciates all the support and is glad fans haven’t forgotten about him.

Also this is the biggest benefit of AEW being so successful. A tremendous wrestler like Ace Austin gets more money, a bigger platform, and new fans around the world. With expanded opportunities like wrestling in CMLL and NJPW on occasion.
