AEW retains longtime talent
Added 2025-08-12 19:06:47 +0000 UTCAll Elite Wrestling is retaining another mainstay.
Fightful Select’s Sean Ross Sapp has confirmed that “Daddy Magic” Matt Menard signed a new contract to remain in AEW long-term. We’ve learned that originally, Menard’s contract was set to expire around AEW All In, but he extended.
Menard’s deal is five years in length, which goes well into the summer of 2030, and he was ecstatic to stay. Menard has become a semi-active wrestler since last year, only competing a few times in 2025. He occasionally still teams with his longtime partner Angelo Parker.
Menard has been doing commentary for the last couple of years, and remains a well liked presence in the AEW locker room.

5 years to work a few matches & occasional commentator. Great deal for him. Its good to be well liked.
