Long Lost Pitches: When WWE Pulled An All In 2018 Talent
Added 2025-07-11 23:00:04 +0000 UTCAEW All In is this weekend, and we're looking back at some long lost pitches from All In past.
The first All In was 2018, and was set to feature Deonna Purrazzo. At the time she'd worked TV for virtually every company in the United States, and it was considered a matter of time before she ended up signed somewhere.
Then she signed somewhere.
Purrazzo was set for the show in the Spring, and was among the first women announced. However, in May she'd agreed to a WWE deal and was headed to NXT. While she was at the All In press conference that month, the team around All In pretty well knew she'd have to eventually pull off of the show, which is why she didn't speak.
Ultimately WWE asked Purrazzo to not do the show, which she did want to compete on. However, she was told that if she wanted to work that event, a WWE deal would not likely remain on the table.
Purrazzo effectively wrapped up with Women of Honor in early July 2018 and started wrestling in NXT by mid-August that year.
The match that she was slated for ended up featuring Tessa Blanchard defeating Madison Rayne, Britt Baker and Chelsea Green. We're told at one point, it had been pitched by one of the talent to try to get clearance from TNA to make it a Knockouts Title Match, but that didn't happen.

Still was nice otherwise then the tna world title and the tag titles would have been the only titles from tna to be on aew tv

2025-07-12 00:25:24 +0000 UTCI've heard Chelsea green talking about this match on her podcast,Tessa was the one that wanted to put the TNA women's title on the line but they apparently said no & yet she still carried the belt out to the ring for this match even tho the elite had told her not to,much to the dismay of the rest of the women
