Hello everyone!

Tomorrow a brand new video drops on Patreon, and it's one you won't want to miss. We're continuing work on a figure that, at first glance, seemed like a simple task, but it quickly turned into a much more complex and detailed project than expected.

As I kept painting, I added more and more layers, textures, and subtle details. What started as a bit of a chaotic mess began to take shape, and the final result is truly something special. The best part? I've already done the hard part for you, planning and picking the right tones,so you'll be able to replicate it with ease.

She Hulk 2/2 suit and hair

In today’s video, I’m going to take you step by step through the painting process of a truly impressive figure: She Hulk, a spectacular piece from our friends at Wicked.

One of the biggest challenges in this piece is working with two colors that, while visually striking, can be tricky to master: white and purple. Both require patience, smooth transitions, and a good understanding of blending to achieve a clean, vibrant, and deep finish.

This project has been an incredibly satisfying experience from start to finish. I loved filming it and watching the figure come to life with each layer of paint. The final result truly exceeds expectations, and I’m confident you can achieve it too.

If you’ve been thinking about painting this figure, don’t hesitate any longer. She Hulk is a spectacular piece that’s worth every minute invested.

T800 2/2 Base

After painting the Terminator using straightforward, beginner-friendly techniques that still deliver a stunning result, it’s time to bring the base to life. I’ve continued with the same accessible and enjoyable approach, ensuring that anyone can follow along and achieve a great outcome.

While more advanced techniques could certainly be used, my goal has always been to make this project approachable for hobbyists of all levels.

For instance, when it comes to painting fire, I’ve developed a simplified method that cuts down the usual 15 to 20 steps to just 5 or 6,still producing a visually striking effect. It may not be the most realistic fire ever, but considering how easy it is, the result is genuinely impressive.

This video wraps up the work on this figure, but the journey doesn’t end here, a new adventure is just around the corner.

In this episode, we’ll paint the base. While the previous video was aimed at a beginner level, this one includes a few elements that require a bit more finesse. Even so, I’ve done my best to keep the process as simple and approachable as possible.

New Video! T800 2/2 Base

Hey everyone!

In tomorrow’s video, we’ll be painting the base of the Terminator, and while the previous video was beginner-friendly, this one includes a few elements that don’t quite fit that level. Still, I promise I’ve done my best to keep everything as easy and approachable as possible.

I’ve also come up with a simplified method for painting fire, what usually takes 15 or 20 steps, you’ll now be able to do in just 5 or 6, with a great-looking result and zero stress. It might not be the most advanced fire effect out there, but considering how simple it is, it really looks fantastic!

With this, the figure is finished, but the next adventure is just around the corner!

My secret to makeing perfect resin bases

Flat Resin Bases? Yes, It's Possible!

Printing large, detailed bases in PLA can be a real headache. That’s always my first thought when I need to print a base, they’re big pieces, so I usually go with PLA. But when you're dealing with something like this Terminator base, full of intricate details, PLA just doesn't cut it. You end up sacrificing quality, and that's not an option.

That’s why, in those cases, I prefer resin.
But as you probably know, resin printers and completely flat bases don’t get along.
I’ve seen it over and over again, warped bases, support marks, drain holes… and a whole lot of frustration.

But after tons of testing, trial and error, and late nights experimenting, I’ve found the perfect solution.
A way to print highly detailed resin bases with no warping, no marks, no holes, and a perfectly flat underside.

Yes, really: flat, flawless, and ready to go straight from the printer.
In this video, I’m revealing all my secrets so you can do it too. Don’t miss it.

👉 One tip: be extra careful when filling the base after printing. One small mistake and you’ll end up with plaster everywhere. Trust me… I’ve been there.

I hope you enjoy the video and appreciate the secrets I’m sharing with you. It took me a long time to figure all of this out, and I’m excited to pass it on. You’re going to love the results!

View Post

🖌️New video tomorrow. My secrets for printing perfect resin bases

The first thing I think about when I have to print a base is that they tend to be quite large pieces.

That's why I almost always choose to print them in PLA.

But, of course... not all bases are the same.

When trying to print something very complex in PLA, you inevitably have to sacrifice quality. Not to mention the more complex elements, which simply don't turn out well.

So, in these cases, I turn to resin.

The quality is impressive, and every micro-detail is preserved.

But then the next problem arises...

Completely flat bases and resin printers don't get along at all.

I've seen dozens of posts with the same drama: warped bases, with support marks everywhere, poorly placed drainage holes, or even print failures.

Frustrating, right?

Well, let me tell you something: after much trial and error, I discovered a way to print resin bases with all the detail you want, without warping, and with a completely flat bottom base... without a single mark or hole.

Yes, it's possible. And tomorrow I'll show you everything in a video.

I'll share step-by-step instructions on how to achieve that perfect finish, no fuss.

This method took me many hours of trial and error, but now you can apply it right away and get professional results from the first try.

Don't miss tomorrow's video.

It'll change the way you print your bases forever.

🎉May videos

Hello everyone, I'm Javi, and I'm excited to share with you the painting videos scheduled for this month. We’ll be exploring different techniques and difficulty levels, and most importantly, we’ll be working with three different skin tones, each with its own unique style.

  • My secret to making perfect resin bases (basic level)

We'll kick off the month with a very useful video where I share my method for creating perfect resin bases. Printing bases isn't easy, so I'll show you my method so they look 100% perfect and don't cause any problems when printing.

  • How to paint the T800 base (medium level)

We already painted the figure last month, but this month it's time to finish it by painting the base. This base will be epic with metal, clay, skulls, and fire!

  • How to paint Roger's face (easy level)

Next, we’ll dive into a full figure at Easy level.

It's the perfect project if you want to practice a complete character with simple yet effective techniques. It's always nice to complete a full piece with confidence, even when creating a realistic portrait.

  • How to paint Roger's suit (easy level)

We will also paint a suit in a simple way, and we will learn tricks such as learning to paint the tie and shoes in a realistic way.

  • How to paint Indiana Jones's face (advanced level)

Then it's time for something more challenging—and a lot of fun!—you've chosen Indiana Jones. In this video series, we'll tackle an advanced-level portrait, with realistic, tanned skin and even facial hair, which always adds complexity and personality.

  • How to paint Indiana Jones's clothes (advanced level)

His outfit is full of variety—leather, fabric, and metallic accessories—so there's a lot to learn in terms of textures and materials. It's one of those figures that really helps expand your painting skills, and I've packed these videos with information to help you get the best results.

  • How to paint the Indi accessories and base (medium level)

The base of this figure is crazy, and we will have a great time painting it and recreating its legendary logo.

  • How to paint She Hulk's skin (advanced level)

Finally, we'll work on She-Hulk. This one's especially exciting because we'll explore a brand new green skin style. There are many ways to paint green, and this month I'll be showing you a fresh approach I'm really looking forward to sharing with you.

  • How to paint She Hulk's costume (medium level)

Her costume will be a medium level challenge—lots of texture and volume to work with, and a perfect contrast to the skin.

Thank you all so much, once again, for your continued support.

It's incredible that we can continue this adventure and paint more and more figures.

I want to remind you, as I always do, that during this month I'll be painting and recording the videos, but they'll probably be fully published by the beginning of next month.

This month, we’ll be painting a full easy-level figure, a legendary adventurer with lots of textures, and a powerful heroine in green—each one offering something unique to learn.

Let’s keep growing as painters and have fun doing it.

See you soon!

You might be wondering, “What if my choice doesn’t win?” Don’t worry! If a model receives a lot of support, there’s still a good chance it could appear on Patreon in the future. Honestly, I like all of these figures, so there's a real possibility each one might be painted eventually.

Here are this month’s candidates:

Raven (Moon): Mysterious and powerful, are you ready to paint pure magic?
Indiana Jones (Kuton): Adventure, history, and action, all in a single brushstroke.
Darkseid (Zezstudios): Bringing a god of evil to life has never looked so tempting.
Bo-Katan Kryze (Moon): Honor and precision define this Mandalorian warrior.
Stan Lee (Wicked): Every hero needs the genius who created them.

Rogue 3/3 Base (advanced level)

Today I'm bringing you a project that started out unpretentiously and ended up being one of the most striking parts of the entire piece. The base represents the twisted remains of a gigantic machine fallen in combat, a detail that adds history without stealing the spotlight.

My goal was something quick and functional, but as I progressed, each layer of rusty paint and each scratch came to life. It was like letting the brush decide for itself.

This type of work is a creative outlet: there are no strict rules, just pure fun with metals, aged tones, and rough textures. The end result not only surprised me… I loved it. Uncomplicated, but full of personality.

🖌️ New video tomorrow, Rogue base (advanced level)

Hi everyone! Tomorrow comes the finale of this figure and I couldn’t be more excited!
In the video, I’m going to show you how I painted the base, which isn’t just anything: it’s the shattered hand of a Sentinel!

The idea was to do something simple, something that wouldn’t steal the spotlight from the rest… but in the end, with very little effort, it turned out spectacular.

This kind of painting is some of the most fun and stress-relieving: lots of metal, scratches, rust… a fantasy to loosen up and just go with the flow!

With this base, I officially finish the figure, and honestly, it has become one of my favorites, and it wasn’t even hard to paint!

Diferent Painting Styles

Today I'm sharing a bit about the different figure painting styles, but not techniques, I’m talking about the different ways to approach painting depending on the look you’re going for. There's historical realism, where everything needs to look like an old photo brought to life, and then there's fantasy, which I love because you can go wild with colors, lighting, and creativity. There's also the more commercial style, designed for fast production, great for photos, not so much in real life. And then there's the quirky cell shading style, where you paint 3D figures to look like they’re straight out of a 2D anime. It’s crazy, but super fun.

As for me, I love mixing it all. I’ve explored every one of these styles, and over time I’ve created my own kind of a fusion between realism and fantasy. I get a real kick out of making imaginary characters look believable, while also using complex techniques borrowed from fantasy art. The magic happens when you blend the best of each world and just enjoy the ride. For me, painting isn’t just about technique,it’s about storytelling in miniature.

Ghost Rider 5/5 Flames (advanced level)

Today we reach the end of the project for our friends at Wicked, but now comes the best part: the flames.

In this final installment, we're focusing on one of the most striking and challenging effects on the entire model: fire.

Wheels, chains, nothing escapes the heat.
And yes, you can achieve that effect too.

I'll walk you through the entire process step by step: how to paint realistic flames using intense colors, strong contrasts, and smooth integration with the rest of the figure.
It's a long journey, but one that’s incredibly rewarding.

Ready to bring the fire to life? Let's dive into the final tutorial.
