Billy Gunn had a special moment at Wembley Stadium in 2023, but it could have been even more special.

Billy Gunn won the AEW Trios Championships at AEW All In along with the Acclaimed, but he also had some other ideas in order.

We’re told that ahead of the event, Billy Gunn had been planting the idea of using the WWE-produced and owned “Ass Man” theme. However, it never made it very far, and WWE was never approached about the possibility.

Those that we spoke to said that Tony Khan wasn’t open to licensing the music from WWE directly. However, Billy Gunn has maintained some sort of merchandising deal with the company, and if something could have been worked out, it was a possibility.

One of the ideas that had been floated was for All In 2023 to have been Gunn’s return after the tease of a split between he, Anthony Bowens and Max Caster.

Unfortunately (or fortunately if you hate the song), it didn’t end up happening.
