How long AEW All In matches have been planned, other notes
Added 2025-07-06 17:00:04 +0000 UTCA couple of AEW All In matches have been internally planned for quite some time, and others had been tentatively planned and are no longer scheduled.
Fightful Select had mentioned quite a while back that Kazuchika Okada vs. Kenny Omega had long been planned for AEW All In, even as far back as last year. Not just that, Omega vs. Okada for the Unified title was also a plan dating back before Kenny Omega returned. That wasn’t the only match that had a long-term plan, however.
Mercedes Mone vs. Toni Storm in a champion vs. champion match as one of the major attractions of AEW All In was also planned as of the early part of the year.
There were discussions of Cope & Christian vs. FTR late last year as well, with it being a plan early in the year. However, as Fightful reported earlier this week, that hasn’t necessarily been the plan of late.
Tony Khan confirmed a scoop from our Fightful Select discord that Coldplay actually booked the traditional AEW All In date for Wembley years in advance for a major tour. As a result, AEW was well aware with plenty of time that AEW All In would need to be elsewhere, or on a different date. We didn't get a reason as to why they didn't just do Wembley on an alternate date, since this year's show is different on the calendar.
Comments
This year's London show is different on the calendar because the August bank holiday is different - it's always the last Monday of the month.
