Absent AEW star expected back soon

Darby Allin has been off AEW TV all of 2025, as he conquered Mount Everest. The expedition was expected to take months away from Allin's AEW schedule, and was effectively delayed by a year due to injury. Fightful had learned that the original hope was that Darby could have been back by the Owen Hart tournament, but that proved to be unrealistic pretty early. Still, Allin hasn't returned to AEW TV.
Sources that Fightful Select spoke to believed that Darby would be returning to the company "imminently," and said that they would be shocked if he is not involved in AEW All In in some capacity. Word within the company was that Allin emerged from Everest relatively unscathed and is in shape to compete if needed.
We've not heard of creative plans for Darby as of yet.

It's crazy that he's back in ring shape so soon, what a beast. I would have him in the gauntlet but not win, spin a feud with MJF or whoever out of it to break him back in.
