Fightful Select reported that WWE wanted Trish Stratus for the show in a program with Tiffany Stratton, which started to unfold on the Pittsburgh Smackdown tapings. However, there were a number of other legends that were contacted.
Those we spoke to in WWE said that inquiries had been ongoing over the last several weeks as to who would appear on the show, and some of the creative and the negotiating "came down to the wire." Liv Morgan's injury caused some heavy shifts for creative for the event.
We're told that creative wasn't expressed to the roster for the plans for the Raw women's tag team that will represent the brand at Evolution. Talent had not been told of the event before the public announcement, though many had heard the online rumors
