Hey, Sean hope you are doing well! This might seem pretty random, but I was watching 2003 Smackdown recently and Nathan Jones showed up. Was wondering if you knew or heard what he was up to these days? Thanks!

After the 2003 run, Nathan Jones almost entirely got out of wrestling. He did a few matches in Australia in 2005, but other than that, has been out of the business for over 20 years. He signed with TNA in 2008, then never appeared due to an injury. He's been hugely successful in the movie world. He's been in Troy, Mad Max: Fury Road, Hobbs & Shaw, Mortal Kombat, Ricky Stanicky, Furiosa, Voltron and other big movies.

Silly question but are you tired of having to clarify Britt bakers contract status every few months now? Do you see her being back sooner rather than later?

I am, but that's a part of the job. If people want to help give us another update by just reiterating something we've already reported, more power to them. I think she'll be back at some point this year, but that's an opinion, not a report.

hey Sean, with the reports that WWE is cracking down on wanting to own the wrestlers' theme songs, habe you heard if Cody is in danger of having to change from Kingdom to some Def Rebel atrocity, or does he have enough pull to get an exemption?

There are so many exceptions to each rule WWE has made. Some examples -- Natalya's Jim Johnston theme has made it through numerous regimes. Some CFO$ themes have made their way back. Some themes that WWE doesn't own make it on TV. Cody Rhodes' theme is way too identifiable, and incorporated into his entrance to change at this point. It's a massive part of his presentation, and I'd imagine Cody Rhodes has enough pull to have a big say.

Comments

Hard to believe that Cody's theme is nearly a decade old.

And it continues to be hilarious that Cody’s theme song is all about how WWE sucks and he doesn’t need them.
