Answers: AEW Backstage, All In, Kross

Welcome to Select Answers, a short feature that provides some of the answers to questions that were posed to Sean Ross Sapp in the most recent Fightful Weekly Q&A Podcast. The show drops every week on Fightful Select for subscribers.

How are recent comments from Maven Huffman and Tom Pestock about the good backstage atmosphere in AEW taken by the current roster or possible free agents?

Both men are very well respected, and also outspoken when they need to be. The AEW locker room has been in a much better place, coming from many, including many that had criticized it internally in the past. They chalked it up to people wanting to be there.

Is AEW receiving any incentive from the local government for All in Week?

I can't speak to that because I don't have that info, but when I got tipped off about the All In event last year, I learned it from someone in local government. They tied it in to the Texas residency for Collision last year.

When is Kross getting pushed? Is it happening soon? Or do they just not care that he is over??

I find it hard to believe that they'll give Karrion Kross any kind of sustained push until either he re-signs, or they present him with a contract offer. Otherwise they're pushing a guy that they haven't even approached for a new deal.

Sucks to hear they haven't even approached Kross for a new deal. Wonder why? Feels like it might be a hardball tactic to get him to accept a pay cut

Yeah, that last question would seem obvious. If Kross gets a push, it'll only happen if he signs a new contract. Until then he'll just lurk backstage. And yes, the Liv injury is the big question for many. I suspect a ton of creative plans will have to change if she's out for an extended period.
