Hard at work

Howdy folks,

A quick update. Should have at least two chapters for you this weekend, and wanted to give a warning that things are going to come to a very fast head soon. Once that happens, I'm currently debating with my beta readers on if I should edit book 3 and 4 simultaneously, knock them out, then write TBatS, or if I should do 3, TBatS, then 4.

The reason it's a tricky debate is simply because editing and writing are two different monsters. When you're editing, you're thinking about the future, the past, comparing chapters, removing excess and promoting great wealth in vocabulary. When you're plain writing, you're in the moment and experiencing things with the characters.

So, going back and forth is difficult. I have a hard time editing one day, then writing another. That's why I'm considering editing both 3 and 4 simultaneously so I can have a strong handle on what's going on with the story, then, dive into my Novella (expected completion time is 1 month during the summer).

So, you can give me your thoughts freely or clam up, it's up to you.

If and when I ever write full-time, I'll probably start to publish on my website more. Right now, abnormalvaverage.com doesn't see a lot of use because I don't have a lot of time. Most of my free time, which my wife can attest to, is directly pushed into writing. I play games and coach every so often, but otherwise it's all about the words on the page. That doesn't leave a lot of time for the dear ole website. I'm hopeful that I'll get more time this summer to expand on the genre's (LitRPG and Progression Fantasy) and maybe interview more people. I do know I sent out several interview requests a few months ago, and for the first time ever, received not a word in reply from any of them.

Maybe I smell funny?

Also also, I have a tournament next weekend (last of the year), but, because I'm slightly ahead of my writing for once, I'm not goign to skip a chapter. We'll have the full schedule like normal for the foreseeable future, my way of making it up to you like I promised.

That's all folks, I hope you're doing well.
