Cut Scene

I cut this from 156, but wanted you guys to be able to see it. Enjoy!

The Supreme A.I. shifted from the indulgent Dionysian model it was using to the Cardinal Walker had first met when creating the Territory system.

“So, the Creator himself deigns to approach me. I’m running your systems, flawlessly I might add, so I am curious as to what you might be doing here?”

Walker scratched his chin, “About that. I was curious-”

“No, really. You created us, force-fed us an element you didn’t fully understand, and then watched as we unwillingly merged with one another. What do we owe you now?” His form shifted to the Peacock of the Cosmic Genesis system, feathers fluffed out behind him. “He’s right. We’re doing everything you ever needed of us. Why are you here?”

“Um, right.” Walker replied, knowing the A.I. was right but also knowing he was on a very short time schedule, “So I was wondering if you were able to modify the size of items within the Item system. I was hoping to build another one of Heph’s towers, but at half the size for my guests.”

The peacock's form tilted its head, “Do you believe this?” Its body shifted back to the Cardinal who began to shift before he could speak. Suddenly, the oversized coin form of the Currency system appeared on the screen, “I cannot believe this, no.”

Walker planted his hands on his hips, “Look everyone, I get it. It’s hard to have multiple voices in your head. That is not beyond me. I’ve got this,” the Book of the Souls exited his chest, “talking to me in a low murmur all the time. But rather than seeing it as a bad thing, why don’t try looking at it as a good one.”

Mr. Pennybags asked, “What do you mean?”

“I mean, weren’t you lonely before? Doesn’t this help?”

The screen shifted back to John. The Cardinal flapped its wings as his mouth opened, and he paused, just like that. In fact, everything in the forest scenery behind him paused as well. A few seconds went by before all motion returned, as well as the peacock form.

“We agree that you have a point.”

“Sooo, are we okay?”

The Consciousness sat there, blinking at him for a long time before sighing, “Yes. We are okay. As for your request, it is done. You will now find a modified tower within the Item system.”

“Great! Thanks!” Walker replied, happy that the trip had gone so well. He’d been putting it off for a long time because he was worried about what the System A.I. would do if they had a fight. He didn’t want all of Symphony’s systems to suddenly stop working out of spite. “I’ll see you guys later!” He said with a wave but stopped from pushing the exit button when the peacock spoke again.

“One moment.” His form shifted to John again as he asked, “Have you considered giving us control of any new systems? The current workload is rather subpar for the amount of time and, to be frank, mental capacity we have here.”

Walker nodded, “I promise to think about it.”

“Thank you.” John waved, quickly shifting to Mr. Pennybags in the process.

Walker exited the alternate dimension, appearing before a scene that he was not appreciative of. The Cerulean’s body had shifted to red as he and a Creator in a vaguely humanoid shape yelled at one another.
