Good start to the week.

I am in a crucial phase of the first chapter, which will produce a scene with two or three consecutive sex animations.

I think that in about 2 months there will be the next release.

Unfortunately, this week has been particularly slow due to a careless mistake I made regarding the reference assets.

In short, I usually use a 3D asset with a body type representing a cross between male and female, to allow me to create male/female variants quickly.

The 3D asset I used in the last drawings was too massive, and this led me to create drawings with a female variant that was too big, and it wasn't good.

So I had to remodel the 3D reference and modify the drawings with Roy/Kim created up to now.

Anyway, everything is solved.

Obviously, Roy and Kim are still a bit muscularly superior to the average manga character's aesthetic, but that's okay. I always planned to have a Fit PC.

Oh and I'm getting used to using Photoshop's pen tool more and more for greater control and precision.

Good morning everyone.

As I was telling you, this week I started working on the drawings and I'm currently at 6.

Actually, there would be even more if we consider the 3D backgrounds of my collaborator and sister.

It should be a quick release containing about 20 drawings and 4 animations.

I intend to better introduce you to the characters Roy/Kim, the stepmom Lorene, and their toxic relationship in the best possible way.

Happy New Year and best wishes for our project!

Good morning guys.

Happy 2025th birthday to Jesus Christ and I hope you are having a great holiday.

I don't know if this project will be a masterpiece, a flop, or somewhere in between, but I am extremely grateful to each of you for following me with trust and patience.

Thanks also to those who have used a more aggressive approach, because I realize that if we were all humble and patient we would be very bored in life.

I am relaxing a lot these days, and I needed it.

My obsession with version 2.0 has made me press the pause button on my social life, but these holidays are allowing me to find time and pleasure in the company of family and friends.

After much effort, I feel at peace with myself.

The same peace and serenity that I wish for each of you.

That said, I'm still a workaholic and can't wait to return to my usual work and physical training rhythms.

In the meantime, I can tell you that I'm very satisfied with the writing and script of the game.

I wrote the character of Roy/Kim, his/her step-mom (Lorene), the creation of the fantasy world, the main species' political situation, and the plot's beginning and end.

The lack of the central part of the plot is intentional because I would like to continue to let my imagination fly and find narrative solutions step by step.

The most important thing is that we finally have a solid foundation on the code side and on the narrative side.

On December 6th I will start drawing and animating the new first chapter.

Next steps (Resume work)

Please read this post carefully because it contains everything you need to know about the upcoming release.

About the old version:
I was pleasantly surprised by how much you have grown fond of the previous game.
And that's why I wanted to reiterate (again) that the visual-novel style story mode will be maintained.

However, some of them will be modified and I'll explain why:
Trust me when I tell you that the structure of the first S&F was a disaster in terms of organization, code, and main story.
Let's say I was very good at hiding the critical issues.

The main story did not exist:
S&F was created without a solid main story foundation, in fact I never had the slightest idea of ​​how to continue it.
I had entered small details here and there, but unfortunately, these details were not part of a larger narrative plan.
So I dedicated myself to secondary stories.

New plot:

Over time I have collected a series of data based on your preferences that are helping me understand where I want to go:
-Weak and defenseless PG who is protected by some NPCs and abused by others.
-Pregnant mode (Already inserted in the scheme)
-Your desire to interact with Roy/Kim's step mother
-Exploration of the open world
-Subplots.
-A large number of NPCs

For my part, over time I have written a lot:
-The religious origins of the world
-The political situation of the 3 main species (Elves-Centaurs-Ogres)
-The origin of magic
-And only recently, a general summary of the main story, which could contain up to 3 different endings.

Next steps:

1. This week I will put all these writings in order to create a single document for the main story of S&F.

2. Next week, the work in progress of a new first chapter will begin, which will take Roy/Kim from his bedroom to the fantasy world we know.
This is important because it will mark the new premises of the main story.

So, in the next release, a new initial chapter will be adapted.
Later we will evaluate together whether to adapt the others or continue with the new stories.

Ps: Both the old and new stories will be included, we will only have to choose together in which order.

I'm a little disappointed too.

So, the latest release has raised a lot of criticism caused by high expectations or a genuine preference for version 1.0.

However, I note that the new scheme has either been liked or found interesting, although unfortunately, not everyone has fully understood its potential, but it doesn't matter.

Unfortunately, there have been unfounded accusations on the Internet, probably caused by hatred and frustration.
There is a belief that I want to eliminate the old S&F and replace it with something completely different.
Nothing could be more wrong.

It would have been enough for them to read my work in progress to understand that it is not a replacement, but a new beginning with more solid gameplay bases for a more frenetic open_world, where the plots of the old S&F would have been reinserted without particular changes.

What I notice is that there is a huge gap between developers and players.

Where many developers bust their ass working, and some players are like the fat people in "Little Nightmare" who devour every dish in front of them, shitting judgments.
I would like them to know that I sleep very well at night and that their words are just a little annoying like someone who farts next to you during a good meal.

Some even believed that the game would be released ready and finished, and I still wonder where they read it.

For the rest, I sincerely thank everyone:

Release date

Good morning everyone.

The publication date is November 25th at 11:00 (Italian time).

We have finally reached the end of this marathon and I thank you for continuing to invest in the project and for believing in me, without you it would not have been possible.

This release will happen in the usual way:

The highest tier will be able to download the playable content immediately.

The lower tiers will receive the game after 1 or 3 weeks based on your subscription level.

After a month the game will be public on my social channels.

Great news!

I managed to apply masks to the videos that will allow all the characters involved in the sex scene to have a pregnant variant.

These masks allowed me to halve the size of all the animation folders.

So what can I say, we won!

I didn't think Renpy allowed the use of masks.

Thanks to user Nutzo for giving me the idea.

Unfortunately, this is forcing me to export all the animations made so far again.

And thank goodness they are only 2 characters.

What will the new version of the game contain?

-2 characters and a total of 12 animations (Variants excluded from the count).

-A behavioral pattern for NPCs, which will allow them to make decisions using alignment, libido, approval, brain, and stamina values.

This pattern includes what I previously called "sexual escalation", or a sexual experience with complex mechanics that will include the functioning of all the values ​​mentioned above.

The goal is to make the NPCs increasingly intelligent and provide them with an increasingly broader communicative vocabulary.

The game will inherit some features of role-playing games, however, I would like to point out that the plots that I have accustomed you to so far will continue to exist and will always be an important feature of S&F.

Work in progress 10/21/2024

Sorry for not hearing from you last Monday but I wanted to wrap up a few things first.

Before you get worried, everything is going great, the release is confirmed for the end of November.

So a lot has happened in these 3 weeks.

It's been a long time since I felt rushed.

It's amazing how a release date can increase my stress levels.

But hey, it seems I work well under pressure.

Apparently, Windows has limits on the length of paths in the game folders.

Basically, it couldn't extract the game content because the file names inside the folders were too long.

So I had to rename everything, folders, files, and links in the code.

Because things can never be perfectly linear.

Anyway, everything is solved.

I'm working on connecting the Patreon API with a Google server to grant you access permissions without wasting your time entering codes.

It's not easy.

It's the first time I've worked with servers, and thank goodness there's Chat GPT because otherwise, it would have been impossible.

Flirting system.

It wasn't planned for me to work on this yet, but I love this game like it was my own child and I would really like to present it to you in the best possible way, especially after 2 years of waiting.

So the protagonist will be able to flirt with NPCs.

In fact, there will be characters with whom it will not be possible to have sex right away, due to their demanding alignment, or due to a lack of libido, so a flirting system was essential to increase the approval and libido of the characters until they have sex.

Nothing complex of course.

You can choose between a flirting system based on communication, so conversations, romantic and naughty phrases.

Or try a more aggressive approach by touching the NPC directly in his erogenous parts, with all the risks associated with each character.

Animations with pregnant variant.

So, as you know, within the scheme there will be the possibility of getting pregnant causing a series of debuffs to the PC.

But I think about when we will have finished the video game:

The animations are in fact the contents that take up the most space, and at the end of the whole, the game could weigh about 100 Gb.

However, if we remove the pregnant animation variants we could have a complete game of 60 Gb.

And the idea of ​​such an optimization would interest me a lot from a professional and lightness point of view.

Preview - Work in progress 09/17/2024

Good morning guys.

These 2 weeks of work have given us a conflict system based on Dungeon & Dragon dynamics, and Baldurs Gate 3 has given me a great help.

Let's say that, as in the example of the video, both characters want to be dominant:

The previous system required that all the values of each character were added together, after which, the character with the highest result had a 1% to 100% chance of winning based on the difference.

The current system instead requires that each character can choose the value they want within the conflict, between strength, speed, dexterity and charisma, which once chosen will have to clash with the same value of the opponent.

If it is the opponent's turn, she will choose the value to use in the fight.

The selected value will establish a modifier that will be added to the result of a D20, decreeing the winner.

For those who did not understand anything, don't worry, you will understand by seeing.

This system will also accompany us during the story mode, as the character will have to face various trials.

The work is going great, the release is official for November.

Improvements to the code of the last 2 weeks:

This release will in fact be a demonstration of how the characters will behave in the open world, therefore outside of the missions.

Work in progress 08/20/2024

Good morning everyone.

These last 2 weeks have been very important for programming.

I'll explain why:

The sexual escalation scheme includes 16 pages with about 25,000 lines.

According to how I had initially thought of it, these pages had to be copied and pasted for each individual character created over time.

This would have caused quite a few slowdowns because a single change to the code would have had to be applied to all the schemes of all existing characters.

Now, thanks to a series of tricks, I have managed to make the scheme unique for all characters.

Advantages:

1) Potentially infinite margin for growth of the scheme:

Whenever the opportunity arises, I will be able to improve the scheme only once, allowing all available characters to benefit from these improvements.

2) More lightness.

When we have (for example) 20 characters, we will continue to have 16 pages of code, and not 320.

The correction of the pattern is going well.

To be clear, the scheme works and everything is fine but there were some small inconsistencies to resolve, here is a short list of the changes:

In these 2 weeks I have been busy writing a good amount of sex talk to use during escalation:

All these in variations:

-Mouth.

Each of these categories can be used within sexual escalation producing consequences on the values ​​of the characters in play.

These can make you survive longer against NPGs with an aggressive alignment, they can increase or decrease their brain, their resistance, and their approval towards the protagonist.

As I told you, these sex talks, including those written in previous weeks, are a simple basis, and can be corrected and increased over time.
