Wow. What a jam-packed bonus episode. Anthony Keidis gives more cringe interviews where he describes how to get high without drugs. Shaina doesn't quite know how feet work. Michael is in a constant state of rage anytime Thrice isn't playing. Tool also hates California. Music we actually like.

Unwritten Law gets confused for Jimmy Eat World in the best way. Unwritten Law does a Christmas song about Christmas with Simple Plan. Unwritten Law records an acoustic version of Seein Red for Some Reason. We invent new Awful Sound merch. We read tons of Songmeanings comments.

It's your monthly bonus episode! This month we cover our very first Britney Spears song: Oops!... I Did It Again. Michael and Angie join me to dissect the title track from Britney's second album, when she was trying to reinvent herself as a sexy bad girl who played with Teletubby dolls.
We dissect the confusing "friendzone" message in these lyrics, the AMAZING music video featuring Britney as a front flipping Martian, and Angie's memories of this time period, including performing this song at a parking lot karaoke and having her Cosmo Girl magazines censored by her father.

It's your Patreon bonus episode for this month! I'm talking the overwhelmingly chill "heroin banger" from Sublime with the thoughtful and funny Adam Hartnett.
We duck-dive deep on IE and Beach culture, exactly which kinds of dirtbags these dudes and their fans are, and compare them favorably to the chill contemporaries in 311.
Also: Genius.com goes nuts on this song, and the youtube comments are otherworldly. Hope you enjoy, and thanks for being patient!

Sorry for the delay, folks, but as you can see, this episode is 80 minutes long and took some time to edit.
First and foremost, we have Aimee Beth's Butt's appearance in Snakes on a Plane contest-loser Captain Ahab's music video. (She gave permission for her butt to be used in this episode).
Also: We chat about fourth-wall-breaking lyrics, personalized ringtones, cheating girlfriends and secret knocks, Travie being a "wheelchair-user," the oddness of Katie Perry and preppy mid-00s hip-hop fashion, Music We Like (La Dispute, the Black Panther soundtrack, and The Effects), Music We Don't Like (Travie's remix of a Bring Me The Horizon song), and Tony the Cat's first youtube comment reading.

Recorded in 2016, Michael and I dive into (the first half of) the severely disappointing third album from Coheed & Cambria, one of my favorite bands at the time of release.
We cover the annoying self-referential material, including every reference to their previous work found in these songs, relay the more bizarre elements of the concept behind these albums (including a song about an evil bicycle), and unfortunately have to read the word "whore" a lot.

Sorry for the delayed bonus episode. I’ve been sick as hell, and I’m still working 12 hour, 6 day shifts. I havent even started editing next week’s episode (Papa Roach - Between Angels & Insects).
Youll still get a bonus episode for this week, but it might not be until Sunday or later. Thanks for your patience.

Two bonus segments from Kid Rock's "Cowboy," including a detailed analysis of the promotional video for his "Chillin The Most" cruise and an overview of Outlaw Eyewear, badass sunglasses for operators, law enforcement, and biker dudes.
As always, we also have more youtube/song facts comments including a wholesome dispatch from a 10 year old, and a less-wholesome anecdote from kids trying to get their mom laid at a Kid Rock concert.
