Just sharing my recent art highlights 💗 Hope you enjoy the flip-through!

★ A Boho Alternative Spider Chick Design & The Inspiration (gets pretty personal)

It’s way past my bedtime, but I would like to show you guys my spider chick design. I haven’t gave a title, yet, but her design seems to be more bohemian and alternative. I think a sprinkle of Y2K as well.

I got inspired by just planning outfits for my future wardrobe. The clothes that I currently have doesn’t resonate with me anymore. I knew the time will come where my clothes from my early to mid 20s will become a symbol of insecurities. They were my comfort to hide my body and an excuse to avoid social settings. I did tried to be away from a lot of strangers at the time because I thought that EVERYONE would find me strange.

So my thought was, “well since I’m weird, why not warn them with the way I dress?” And so I did and then it backfired lol. No one cared about the way I dressed. Maybe behind closed doors, yes. But really I made good connections just from my strangeness. It took me years to realize that people want to get to know you no matter what. Honestly, the MAJORITY of my 20s was just me protecting myself from rejection.

The start if this year was me practicing true self love. Took a lot of courage to be alone and meeting strangers just to have a small talk and lots of money to truly express myself through my style of clothing. I had fun! It helped me to become the person that I’m proud of today! Even though I’m still working on it, I’m just glad that I am able to show it through my creations.

Ain’t it crazy that this is my thoughts when I create? It may not be as crazy as I think it is, but these are truly my thoughts when I create. I read something in an article that artists draws from deep emotions and I look at my art and be like, but I just draw hot, sexy women. Maybe I draw them to feel empowered and I actually do 😆

★ Sketches of Bunny the ButtButt and Lady, studies, WIP of MORE Adoptables and My Discovery on Preventing Art Block

So these are what I have been working on for the past week or 2. Every since I started using the App Blocker, my creativity have been flowing! Crazy that I have 3 Adoptables WIP. As I do have commissions complete, I still like to create my own ideas to not get burnout.

Did you guys know to avoid art block you can do other streams of creativity such as journaling, sticker collecting, scrapbooking, sculpting, writing, making music, and many things like that. Currently, I’ve been video editing when I need a break from drawing and it has helped me tremendously! Y’all have no idea how much I could not believe that I had so many Ideas flowing in. It was truly unbelievable! Imagine for over a year that you felt like commissions are the only way that you could be creative through and you can’t even draw your own OCs anymore. Then you asked yourself, “what’s the point…? No one likes my creativity.” One day, you start scrolling through your old art and asked yourself, “what I was doing to always be this creative? My art doesn’t look that great, but I was on a roll. Why can’t I feel that today?” Well guess what? It was the actions that you may have enjoyed when you’re not drawing.

Those actions were: video editing, writing (even if it’s bad), cooking a new recipe, playing video games, and scrapbooking (digitally). This blew my mind! I felt like I rediscovered the fun of creativity. Right now I am taking the opportunity to write on here. I did made a newsletter on Substack, but for right now I gotta focus on my current works so I don’t have too many projects running at the same time.

🌸 She’s almost done! All is left is a portrait of her and some undies. I price my work by the hours I put in. I do $20 per hour and this one is taking more than 22, because I do a lot of trial and error. So if y’all are interested, she’ll be price $250 for y’all. The public price will be $350 or $400.

I am not sure if I want to add lore to her, because I personally like it when someone come up with their own lore when they get her or any other character I create.

All I have to do with Rarity’s drawing is to add color and then she’ll be all done. This drawing was a journey honestly. I wasn’t expecting to be emotional while working on this. Nothing on Rarity lol just learning how to stay focused. This drawing taught me a lot about myself and it’s that to be patient and not have everything scattered all about. I have plenty of ideas, but I’ll be writing them down instead.

[REPOST] I feel like I’ve been on a roll this past week since I got the app blocker. I spend less time on social media and more time on drawing. I’m trying to get these commissions over with so I can start accepting more. My next commissions will be just sketches, ranging from $50 -$100. WIP ★ Warmup before working on Ratity

This warmup video is part of the behind the scene for the Rarity Timelapse video. Which I’ll upload the procreate version right after this. This video shows how I am before I get into the meat of things. I like to warm up to loosen my wrist and brain. Without it, I’ll have a tough time drawing close to what I’m imagining. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated 💗

Cutie Plus Size Study ★

Since I have a few commissions with plus size OCs, I went to do some refreshers. Shes flipping cute!!! And the clients that received their updates were VERY pleased 💗

★ WIP Adoptable: 🌸💫 Alien Butterfly Design

It’s been a while. I still got about 7 commissions to go. It’s taking me a while to complete, because of my own emotions that I’m pushing through. It’s been hard, but I have to separate my emotional problems from my work. I drew this character in my sketchbook and was like “let’s see how far I can take it”. Now she’s mostly rendered, but still got a whole a sheet to work on 😋. I can’t wait to list her. She’ll be up for $240. I heard that I can do a private listing on Etsy, so I may do that on here first with a discount of $185. If yall do purchase her, she’ll come with 5 files. One is the whole sheet, a transparent png of her, a chibi, PSD, and I’m not sure what I’ll do for the last one. Maybe a naked version. Yall let me what do you think. 💗

Busy, busy month! My husband and I just got a rescue named Chevy and he can be a handful. Working on juggling stickers, commissions, Adoptables, and a routine. Feels like my head is about to explode. June may be the last time that I’ll be selling stickers on Etsy so I can focus on y’all more. I’ll catch up on stickers exclusively for y’all. I enjoy just sending y’all stickers rather than sell them on Etsy. USPS sometimes is not delivering the letters and I have lost a couple so far or some had to wait months to finally get their stickers. So to have WAY less stress on me, I’ll stop selling stickers on Etsy.

So I finally found an art posing app called ArtPoseFE for iPad to create my own references. Pinterest doesn’t do much justice when it comes to pose references imo. I’m going to record my process on using it. I did started a video that showed the process on anatomy from the book called, How to Draw Manga, but I may scrap it. The reason why, after finding the app it made me realize that all I needed was something to help me with general lighting and proper posturing. Another reason why it’s a ‘maybe’ because I want aspiring artists to learn the basics of anatomy and how does this book has helped me to become a better artist today.

I may not upload it soon, because I am enjoying the app. It’s $2.99USDs. It feels like I’m cheating lol 😂 I love it!

★ Alien Chick Render Practice

Back on posting on YouTube 🙏💗💕 Thanks to yall! I’m working ideas on making videos exclusively to yall. It might be NSFW render Timelapse with and without commentary. First, I have to get a PC or just a phone with bigger gigs. And whichever one I’ll get it’s closer to, I know that it’ll help me to spread my knowledge on self taught art with my experiences that I would like to share. My goal is to inspire others and show that there’s ways to become an artist no matter what. Even if it’s one drawing a week, it’s closer to progress 🙏

★ Burnout ･ ｡ﾟ(an apology to you lovely ass people)

Heyah guys! Yes, it’s time to put a pause on the payment (From Today to January 17th). Burnout has caught up to me and I should’ve listen to myself when doing commissions. I have no excuses but only accountability. I thought I would be able to handle more this year… Nope! Burnout really ate me up for these past 3 months. I am going to be taking it easy and put my focus on you guys and other projects my heart is set on. This year started tragically and ended with a lot of self growth.

Y’all have been always amazing and understanding. I feel terrible for taking the money and not providing anything. I need it to pay the little bills I had and it feels so terrible to just take the money and not giving anything back. I did receive the new version of stickers, I didn’t send them out because I’ve been exhausted since. I know there’s already a lot of past content to catch up to. It doesn’t feel right. I still, as the artist I want to become, will keep my promises and always deliver.

Commissions are holding me back and I will limit them to only 3 a month. No matter how bad I need the money, my mental health matters most to me. My art regress as I was doing them. So I’m taking some more time off to get back on track and deliver what I promised.

- The Flutterbat may become a print along with the stickers for October. I am still learning about prints and the sizes of them. Doing a card size seems fun but I do like how 11" in. look because it's not too big or too small. Will do some research with some local shops.

- The Fluttershy Chibis are the cutest things I've ever draw this month! They will most likely become little stickers as treats.

- The warmups are adoptable ideas for the next batch ^^

So they tried to bullied him by calling faceless. KnifeKat doesn't mind. As strange their lives can seem, their neighbours did chimed in and said that she's no different offline. They never saw her husband and KnifeKat really likes to make BBQ almost every night.

I am trying to get used to drawing for myself and get ready the ideas that I want to be consistent on. Currently, pushing myself to post every Monday and wake up early in the morning and workout. Last month off is what I needed to learn that being an artist takes a lot of effort. Really draw whatever y'all love and don't compare yourself to others. 💕
