Today you'll receive a brush pack containing 8 brushes, in specific leather tooling brushes!
These brushes are very easy to use and super versatile, you can more or less smack it on top of any leather item!
Here's a preview and an example of three different uses with three different brushes;
Feel free to use these texture brushes on anything you want, but we don't recommend using them on other RP tack companies items, as it may be against their terms of use. If you want to use them on NorthStar Patreon items, please make sure to state this modification in your caption on Instagram!

I've wanted to make an x-browband for the longest time. No idea why it took me so long, but here it is, and where better to make it for than for the DIY 3/4 view bridle!
Comes in two different 3/4 view angles, three leather colors and in both gold and silver logo.
More types of nosebands, browbands and bits will of course come 💃
As always are you free to recolor, tweak and warp it to make it work the best for you.

Hello everyone! ✌️
For approximately a month ago did you guys get the new horse OC character sheet. Today, you'll be getting it for the human!
They look more or less the same as the horse one, only with a few changes. So same as the other does it come in 8 colors and in both plain background and transparent background version. So you can be matchy matchy. Feel free to decorate it as you wish as well!
The template is also adapted so you can add everything straight in insta stories if you want to do that instead. Just remember that for the transparent version can you not put any paint over the template (as you first have to add the background, then the template itself), but you can use text over. So to color in the dots, just use a period/text dot and make it bigger. I think it can look cute to use an emoji for the trait bars as well.

Time for the July wrap up!
How have your July been? Hopefully better weather than it has been here 🌧️
The first post in July was greenery png's from Cath to use for your backgrounds.
You got 10 trees, 4 hedges and 3 bushes/shrubs, so in total 17 png's!
Second post this month was the July mystery box which was named "Foal season". It included a bunch of stuff you can use for your foal edits and art.
Third post was the breastplate "Urda" by Lucia. It comes in both side and 3/4 view, as well as in three leather colors and in both silver and gold metal.
Cath shared the Thalia boots in 3/4 view for her 2nd post this month! The boots comes in the same colors as last time; tan, chestnut, brown and black, as well as silver or gold details/metal.
Lucia's last post for the month was a bunch of horse info/character sheets. Comes in both plain background as well as transparent background. They are also made so they can work to use directly in insta story.
Cath's last post for the month was some horse linearts. Two full body, and two head shots.
Besides the regular posts we have also during July worked hard to finish up all August posts in advance, so that we're able to take a small vacation without taking an actual vacation. Previous years we have taken a couple of weeks+ off, but this time you won't notice it!
We have been preparing props....
Cath has finished her first edit in.... years?
Searched for inspiration for the August mystery box...
And Cath has made a pattern for.... something 👀
We have also discussed and planned the future for Patreon! Don't worry, no drastic changes, or any changes you'll notice at all, but some times business partners need to have "business meetings" to plan ahead. It's a very good thing we both think very alike and see things very similar, cause we never disagree and things run very smoothly!
Other than that we have been trying enjoying the summer, with lots of gardening, reading, drawing and spending time with family.

Speaking of something that have nothing to do with summer is today's post (😂) - new horse OC character sheet!

Hey guys, how's the summer treating you? ☀️
Here comes the Thalia boots in 3/4 view as promised!
The boots comes in the same swatches as last time; tan, chestnut, brown and black, as well as silver or gold details/metal.
And just like last time you're getting both a normal 3/4 view but also one in a "stirrup position".
You're fully free to adjust both the position and color to your liking. Next up with these boots will be 1/4 view, so stay tuned!

Urda comes in both side and 3/4 view, in three leather colors and in both silver and gold metal.
As always are you free to recolor, tweak and warp to make it work the best for you.
Warping will most likely even be needed to make it fit well. You can also cut away parts or cut out to past them back on again if you need to angle or make some things smaller etc. Just as long as the logo stays.

New month, new wrap up!
We hope you guys have had an amazing June, and are ready for yet another warm summer month ☀️
We have come to the conclusion that our heads don't work on quite high capacity during the summer months, so June and we expect July too will contain of a lot of "oh shit, we should have...", "let's just wing it" and friendly reminders between us, but that's what partners are for right? 💪🏼
Anyways, the first thing we did in June was to pick three ambassadors for Patreon. A warm, bearhug welcome to Cloud / @cloud.equestrian, Peunka / @minna_hl and JB / @big.sky_artworks. They will stay with us until the end of the summer so we hope (and know) you patrons will make them feel a part of the family ❤️
The first post in June was the monthly mystery box, and the theme in June was "Love is Love" / pride 🏳️🌈
We decided to put up a poll on both discord but also here on patreon as well beforehand, to see if you were okay with us posting a pride themed post. We want our little community to be a safe space for everyone.
The set contained a saddle pad, blanket, halter, college sweater, leg wraps, brush boots and breeches. We also decided to upload the entire pack on our shop, so non patrons also have the opportunity to purchase it!
Second post this month was the grazing muzzle "Finley" and the fly mask "Flynn", both made by Cath. They all come in both side and 3/4 view and in several different colors. They are perfect for summer artwork!
Third post was something we have planned for quite some time, but sadly it has gotten down prioritized. Lucia made the first ever NorthStar Estate 2.0 background, which was of the courtyard/entrance to the Estate. The estate will not be pushed as a boarding stable, to avoid putting too much pressure and work for us, but if you want to board there you're fully free to do it, but you're also free to just use the backgrounds, for example for a visit, a training session or whatever suits your vibe! Cath's last post in June was the tall boots "Thalia". Since the plan is to make several views of these boots, she decided to split the posts up, to avoid making 362902 files in one post. The first version of the boots was in side view, and they also come in 4 different colors; black, brown, chestnut and tan. In addition to that they also come in both regular side view but also in a "stirrup position". Cath will try to make similar poses in the other views as well, and in July the 3/4 view will be posted!
And for the final post in June; Lucia decided it was about time we did a DIY bridle in 3/4 view, so she went ahead and made the first batch, which included side pieces/base, brow bands, nose bands and bits. We have noticed that you patrons really like being able to "build" your own bridle, so of course we had to make a 3/4 version as well!
On the side of regular patreon posts we have also worked on an annual free commission for a dear patron, Lena!
She wanted a drawing of her irl pup with one of her rp horses. So we merged our heads and decided that Lucia would make the dog and Cath would make the horse and background. Below is a couple of WIP's + the end result!
In addition to that Cath has also worked on a commission outside of Patreon. Someone reached out asking if it was possible to commission a brush pack and thought "of course, why not". That was actually a lot of fun and a first time experience, so we have also discussed maybe opening up brush pack commissions as well as normal commissions, both for patrons but also the public. But that's something that would happen down the line!
With that we have come to the end of June, and we welcome July with open arms!

On todays menu is the leather tall boots, Thalia!
The boots comes in 4 different colors, as well as silver or gold details. They also come in both a regular position like the ones shown above, but also in a position that makes it a perfect fit into a stirrup!
For now they only comes in a side view, but very soon more views will be released, such as 3/4, 1/4, front and back view, so stay tuned!

It was during a trail ride Lucia and Cath found an unfamiliar road on Birk's Royal Stable property. The area connected to Birk's is huge, but they were still surprised none of them knew about it.
With much curiosity did they decide to follow the road to see where it would lead. After following the ragged road uphill for a while could they not believe their eyes what they found up at the top - a castle.
The castle was more of a mix between a ruin and a decline mess after what looked like it had been abandoned for a long time. Much restoration definitely needed to be done to help it, and it certiantly didn't look like no one had been there for a good while.
However....
While taking up their phones to capture the surroundings, because no one would believe them otherwise, did they notice something...
" This looks very much abandoned right? But....how come that the lights on the wall is still working?"
Say hello to the first post from NorthStar Estate 2.0!
Maybe you remember the update we shared earlier this year about how we decided to remake our NorthStar Estate? Hear is the first background from it!
This 2.0 of our estate will only be for our paying patrons to use (bronze, silver and gold), and act more like a "casual stable". If you just want backgrounds for example you and your horse doing some traning in another place.
You will also of course be able to say that you board there, but we will however not push it as a boarding stable at all. To be able to focus on many things and provide you guys with the best quality and not feel too overwhelmed into making a lot of backgrounds in a short amount of time. So backgrounds will be coming out from time to time. The old estate backgrounds will still be up, just not as the NorthStar estate backgrounds.
As the castle was very worn down and in great need of renovation, will the backgrounds mirror that as well!
Some background might include the older parts of the castle, some of the renovated, and some maybe even a mix.
This way we can also meet more people’s preferences by mixing modern and old architecture.
You'll also be able to find the estate on our discord where it can be found under it’s own category with some channels!
We hope you'll like this change and enjoy using our background from time to time ❤️

It's time to wrap the last month of spring up and we're super ready for summer! ☀️⛱️
We wanted to try something new, and with that the idea of a monthly newsletter came.
In these newsletters we will show what we have posted the past month and other things we have worked on, so both patrons but also the public can get some insights.
The first thing we worked on this month was to update our shop, these are the new packs you can purchase from there:
As usual we also started the month with releasing the monthly mystery box, which is always released the first Sunday each month. This months theme was "Who let the horses out". The box contained halters, pasture backgrounds, sheds, hay stations and brushes.
The first weekly post was show jumping breeches made by Cath. The breeches comes in side view in a show jumping position, in 8 different color variations as well as the options between black and brown leather belt.
Second post was made by Lucia, and she continued with the "Tron" set she has worked hard on. Polo wraps and brush boots was released, which comes in 30 different variations!
Cath's last post of the month was the dressage saddle "Cecilie". The saddle comes in side and 3/4 view with the usual color swatches; black, brown and chestnut, as well as silver or gold metal.
And the last post of the month; another addition (and the last) to the "Tron" set by Lucia; several variations of an equestrian top, both for dressage and show jumping. The top comes in several different positions and 30 color swatches!
What we also have worked on this month is to search for ambassadors for Patreon. This is an entirely new addition to Patreon and we're super excited about it! We will start picking our ambassador team tomorrow, so hurry up and apply if this is something you might be interested in. Today will you guys be getting the fourth and last part the tron set; Tops in dressage/flat and showjumping angle!
The Tron set is a very basic set that both can work for shows as well as for training at the stable.
The tops comes in 30 different colors as well as in both with and without the rhinestones, but also in both dressage and showjumping angle.
As always are you free to recolor, tweak and warp it to make it work the best for you.
This is the last part of this set. Did you like it? Plan is to release it in 3/4 view as well, but, that will be later!

Today we're finally "upgrading" the dressage saddle that was provided a lifetime ago, and this time it comes in both side and 3/4 view!

The saddle comes as mentioned in two different views, as well as 3 color swatches and 2 choices of metal color.
As usual you're allowed to tweak and recolor!
Disclaimer: Since it's close to impossible to get the exact same color variations each time, especially since me and Lucia have different ways of shading and styles, you might have to tweak with saturation, contrast etc to make items released on separate occasions match perfectly!
We do have a color palette we go after when making leather items, but they can still turn out different.
