As the last territory of Shadre to be colonized and a relatively new country, Helion has a lack of autochthonous forms of culture. Still, its demographics are composed by peoples from all the other countries, especially Albanir, Teria, Esfiria and Karkand.
Helion is an emerging superpower. It's ruled by a government that "controls" and serves as a mediator between 3 militarized super-corporations that exploit the vast resources of the country, as well as they provide a constant influx of jobs, energy, food, technology, etc. to the population.
This country doesn't have any "official" armed forces to defend itself, but it has the most militarized police force of all Shadre: Helion's governamental police. A force that acts as peacekeepers, but also as an army, mediators and deterrents.
The super-corporations; Greycom, Aurisoft and HRC (Helion Resources Corporation) control different parts of the Helian territory, and have the authority to exploit the resources in those territories, as well as build infraestructure and facilites.
This corporations are owners of a multitude of industries, high-technology private institutions, military divisions, commercial entities and trademarks that attract to the country a large influx of grey matter, wealthy people and qualified personnel, but also basic manpower.
All this opportunities, coupled with a high quality of life, high salaries, stunning cities and a beautiful and diverse land composed of multiple biomes makes Helion the most attractive destination to emigrate.
Helians are usually depicted as elitists, isolationists and soulless individuals, but also highly professional and specialized.

We all probably knew our lovebirds would win the 1st time : )
The resulting image will be done after we finish the next update (v0.4) and uploaded after the patreon release. This will be an exception, as the poll was held on the 2nd half of the month. We're currently a bit short on time and we also think this is the best move because of the type of content featured on v0.4.
The February poll will be held right after we publish January's image. The subsequent polls will also be held after each patreon release.

The resulting picture will be considered non-canon by default, but there will be some logical exceptions.

If it were up to the Jardovians, the whole world would be ruled by their one and only undisputed emperor.
Well... at least that's what some of the Jardovians honestly think.
Jardovia is a country mired in a long internal conflict that has claimed the lives of thousands and thousands of citizens. The high Jardovian emperor is obsessed with getting rid of the nations of Ursikan and Albanir, the rival powers of the empire, thus taking over the northern continent of Shadre.
However, the reality is that Jardovia has a poor quality of life, a modest level of technology for the Shadreic standards, and a limited economy in terms of capital and resources.
Jardovia has a respectable army, though. Legions of fervent soldiers pledge loyalty to their emperor, being always prepared to defend their homeland at all costs.
And, at the other side of the coin, millions of Jardovians contrary to the regime dream of an end to a nightmare that has gone on for far too long...
Jardovians are well known for their loyalty, dedication and will to fight for their beliefs.

Albanir is one of the most influential countries in the world. Formed by Esfirian and Pre-Terian colonists after the fall of the Esfirian empire, it has an increasingly dissipated military tradition. Its society is based in a meritocratic system that drives the most prepared individuals to leading positions.
This country has very bad relations with his neighbour, the Jardovian empire, as it was it's main enemy during the global bellic conflict known as the War of the silence. Since then, the two countries live in a cold-war state and it's known they actively spy on each other.
Its ideology is similar to the Terian, although it has a small conservative radical fraction among its largely progressive population. Albanir has one of the largest and strongest armies in the world, a good level of technology and very good quality of life.
Albanirans are generally proud, and although they are very open to the world, they have a considerable sense of patriotism for their homeland. They're also known for their professionalism, honesty, kind spirit... and a very sweet, mellow accent.

The public release of EfV (v0.2) is coming to itch.io the next Wednesday 21. The credits will be updated with the names of all our current patrons. We're also going to open the discord server to the public. Expect non-patrons joining the next week.
Also, we're glad to announce that the next patron update (v0.3) is coming the 3rd of January of 2023. That is 3rd of January for all patrons, 2nd of January for Backers and 1st of January for Benefactors and Sponsors.

This time we'll talk about the sentient species that lives in Shadre, the Shadresapiens Polymorpha.
Nº2 - The Shadreics
The Shadreics are an intelligent sentient species that originated on Teria long time ago. At the moment, it hasn't been discovered how the Shadreic species originated. This is a hot topic when it comes to science in the current time.
Unlike their feral counterparts, the most striking characteristic of this species is the huge genetic variety among members.
Canids, felines, equines, rodents, avians... The morphology of the Shadreics is truly diverse. Each morph has his own set of characteristics. For example; usually horse morphs are tall and fairly strong, while fox morphs are average or even short in size and very agile.
Also, each morph is usually associated to one or more behavioral traits. For example; it is said that some morphs like gryphons and equines are a bit narcissistic in nature, rodents are very thrifty, etc.
But of course, this isn't always the case!
And if they're all different morphs, how do they make pups? Do this morphs only reproduce among themselves? Not necessarily! They're still members of the same species! All morphs can make babies between them. This means a dragon can have a baby with a wolf, no problem.
How does it work, you say?
Easy.
Using the last example, a pup born from the union of a dragon and a wolf would result in:
-Either dragon or wolf: 90%
-Minor hybridization: 9,4%
-Medium hybridization: 0,4%
-High hybridization: 0,2%
And yes! Hybrids can also make babies! But the resulting offspring of a hybrid morph is subject to the same rules. This means that if a dragon-wolf hybrid has some sexy time with a tiger, only his dragon or wolf part will join the part of the tiger.
We'll talk more about the Shadreics in future posts. And soon we'll be publishing more info about the countries and cities we've already visited in the VN. We'll also publish info about the release date of v0.3 the next week!

Hello, everyone!
This is the very first post of a series where we'll provide you with information about the universe where our VN's will take place.
We'll publish new content as the story progresses.
Nº1 - Shadre
Shadre is the 5th planet of the Aucyon system. It is an habitable rocky planet with a diameter of 12,227km. It has an atomsphere mainly composed by nitrogen and oxigen and the surface is covered by large water bodies and several land masses. Shadre has 2 moons, Ikray and Keon.
This planet is inhabited by a sapient antrophomorphic race, the Shadresapiens Polymorpha. It originated in Teria and stayed in that continent for several millennia, until it rapidly expanded through the world.
To put it in perspective, the Shadreics are currently in a fairly advanced state when it comes to geopolitics, technology and society matters when compared to the real world.
There's 19 different nations in Shadre, each of them with his own characteristics, but all of them speaking the same language (although, most of them have accent variations.)
In Echoes from Valeth we've already visited (briefly) Jardovia and Albanir and we're currently in Helion.
Soon we'll be publishing more info about the Shadreics and the countries and cities we've already visited in the VN.
