HeyJ, team! It's time to head back into the jungle with us for another update! I swear, no one told me that somewhere as chill as Hawaii could be so legit when it came to Tomb Raiding, but today, we got bruised, bitten, prickled, twisted, and drenched in sweat on a very active film shoot! All in all, it turned out well and no one was seriously hurt... though I heard we have one more scene to do on a cliff tomorrow... o_o;
Thanks so much for your support in making this one. We'll share one or two more updates about it, but now that most of the project is filmed, we'll be heading back home soon to dive headfirst into post-production. This has been an excellent break from the rinse-and-repeat process we've used for ten years and we're definitely hoping to mix in a few more "blockbuster" projects like this each year from now on, just to keep YouTube on its toes. ;)
HeyJ, everyone! First of all, thank you for making this project possible. It's been a really cool experience to be out somewhere crazy, filming something this incredible, and the experience has been SURREAL! Every speck of mud, itchy bug bite, and drop of sweat has reminded me that, on a platform intended for vlogging on a green screen, you've all given us the chance to head into a REAL RAINFOREST to film an ACTUAL ADVENTURE, and it's been crazy cool! We hope you guys are as excited with this project we're making together as we are!
I also realized that one of the core, key things you're all providing us is actually... to NOT film! At least for a day or two... :P We scheduled enough time here to film for about six days straight, but thanks to your generosity (and a lot of local help from our friends Alec, Krystle, Alvin, Tiare, and Ascot! And some scheduling magic~), we'll probably be able to squeeze in a day or two of downtime after this is all over, right before jetting back to Los Angeles for post-production. ^^
(Not to say we haven't already started an edit here in the hotel room...)
Thanks for an amazing opportunity to film this musical in its natural habitat (well... as natural as we could without access to Mayan ruins...) It feels like a great fit for part of our 10 year celebration and we can't wait to share some of the footage with you!
We also can't wait to mail out trading cards from last month's Team Rocket song, but unfortunately, we'll have to, since they all got mailed to California while we were away. We'll have those shipped out in a week or so -- thanks for your patience!

This REport was actually filmed over the weekend, but we've been so busy finalizing the musical that I didn't get around to posting it until now. Okay, it wasn’t exactly lost; just uploaded and then buried beneath subsequent other REports. 😅 But anyway, LOOK WHO TEAM ROCKET MANAGED TO CORNER RECENTLY! 👀 I’ll admit, we weren’t able to wrangle in -quite- as many guest stars for this project as I’d hoped, but there are still going to be enough familiar faces (and voices!) to please Encounterers who have been watching since Singachu. 😁

HeyJ, team! Happy to report that we filmed the RE Awards yesterday (and I finally know EVERY WINNER! AH HA HA HAAA!), which will be launching late next week. In the meanwhile, we're working more on our Team Rocket song, as well as moving forward some planning on two other projects, which we haven't discussed with you yet... They're moving quick, though, so I imagine we'll be chatting about them shortly!

HeyJ, everyone! Welcome to the final REport of the year -- that's right, 2021 is OVER! We hope you enjoyed (at least parts of) the year and are looking forward to an optimistic 2022 together. ^^
We haven't gone too far into the next musical until today, but I think some of you saw it coming a while ago anyway... Thank you to EVERYONE for backing the channel. This was a shockingly hard year on the channel, the likes of which we've never experienced, but amidst some very low lows, you always had our backs. We're committed to fighting on and remembering this chapter of RE history not for its setbacks and struggles but for our community's triumphs and resilience!

HeyJ, everyone! This was a bit of an impromptu REport at the end of filming, and as you can see, our lighting/color is a bit off (we don't tend to adjust it for REports). We're still filming a couple VFX this week, but our cast here is wrapped and we're proud of their performances -- hopefully you enjoy their work as much as we do!

HeyJ, everyone, and Happy Thanksgiving! No, we didn't film more today -- we just forgot to upload this yesterday while we had the chance! The musical is technically finished and ready to go live Friday at 12PM, which means *I'LL* be ready to chat with you all on Discord around 12:30PM (Pacific Time) the same day. :)
Now I'm off to bed for a little sleep before celebrating a very long, lazy Thanksgiving with food, friends, and probably video games. ^^ I hope you're doing the same!

There's a lot of work still needed, but we're very excited to be making this month's project, and we're grateful to have your support on it. :) It feels very fresh to be making a couple videos again with classic RE vibes and a sense of humor to match!

HeyJ, guys! I lost track of all matter of things this past weekend between the musical’s launch, Halloween, and two bonus livestreams. Some of you noticed no music files were sent out yet, which is true. Like the Discord voice chat, I never actually got song files converted and sent out, and won’t be home to do so until Thursday. As for the Discord chat, I’ll try to be on this Friday after the blooper video goes live at noon Pacific Time.

HeyJ, lovely people! We've completed all filming for Friday's musical -- a few hours before Friday -- and EVEN managed to finish the song for Friday's musical! Man, are we on a roll here or WHAT? :P
In summary, we expected to make two other projects this month that didn't happen (before Mr. Hopp strolled into our Inbox with his spin-off game about a week ago!) We tried to bang out a song, but had a serious mess scheduling this time, and to top a gloriously disastrous production week off, the iMac with all our music recordings required updates that... you guessed it... broke EVERYTHING. x_X
And by broke, I mean, Nate spent about two hours trying to force it to either finish installing a new operating system, or give us back the broken fragments of the last one. Apple was deadset on neither, but the POWER OF PERSISTENCE PREVAILS!
Of course, forcing it to finish its installations didn't improve its functionality still, and it literally froze *every* 5-10 minutes for the rest of the night, all while the musical was STILL getting a song edit, pitch correction pass, and mix. I didn't make it to bed until much too late, but thankfully, the song was able to be completed 5 minutes at a time throughout the night. We'll update you all on what we need to do with it to continue writing next month's tracks, but for now, we'll take any little victory we can find out of this week! >_<

Less than 24 hours left until the "12 Minutes" musical arrives! We filmed our reshoots/pickup shots last night and are now working on the VFX/Sound, along with any other finishing touches it may need! Time is short and work needs to get done, so I'll just leave you with this video and get back to it!
