29/01/2024 - Next Steps

Afternoon everybody! I hope you’ve all had at least a somewhat decent weekend and perhaps even gotten a chance to check out Twinewoods new update. Today I wanted to take a minute to let you all know my plans for February and March which will hopefully conclude with the release of the first update of episode 3.

As usual there will be a whole bunch of exclusive lewd renders coming your way, in addition to regular dev logs and teases but there’s actually a few more Patreon perks I’ve been brewing that may debut in the coming weeks. I'd very much like to get a few more Twinewood tales out for my mega fan subscribers but I'm running a little dry on ideas for them. If anyone has any suggestions I'd love to hear them and perhaps I can turn some of them into a reality.

Our discord server has also undergone some changes, which will likely continue as I’m figuring out how to actually run a server lol. Right now you can find some special icons/profile pictures of the characters from the game on there if that’s something you're especially interested in. I’m also quite active there if you’d like to get in contact with me or even just shitpost/talk about games and stuff with some like minded pervs.

Since a lot of what will feature in the next update was originally planned to be in 2.0 I’ve actually got a whole bunch of the ground works and writing complete. Episode 3 will be much less linearly structured than the previous two as I’m introducing the time slot system I talked about in a previous dev update. With any luck I should have it completed by the end of March/beginning of April. As a little tease of what’s to come, you’ll finally be getting some proper content with Maya/Kara, a new student will be joining MCs class, and you might just get a little hint of what Sora’s larger goals are.

2.0 is now public!

Just a quick update to let you guys know you can now download Twinewoods latest update for free on my Itch.io page.

20/01/2024 - The Final Stretch.

Hey guys, just a quick progress report today. I’m in the final stretch of development with the next update, having only one scene left to implement before I begin the QA process. It’s shaping up to be a pretty good one, if I do say so myself. Plenty of sexual animations too. ;). I’ve come to the realization that episode 2 is going to be much longer than episode 1 which is not something I really want so I’m going to adjust my plans a little and call episode 2 to a close with this update meaning it will become version 2.0 of Twinewood.

I think it kind of fits quite nicely considering there’s a good stopping point in the story, all the overhauls being added in this update. It’s kind of funny what a journey it’s been on too, with it originally being rebranded to update 1.8, then back to 1.7 and now finally into 2.0. This doesn't mean any content is being cut either, it’s just a case of episode 2 being way too big so on paper I’m just splitting it into two increasing the overall episode count by 1.

Expect a release post for Mega fans 3 day head start some time this coming week, and an accompanying VIP code for a spicy new bath scene between Chloe, Sarah, and the student council president Rin.

Can’t wait to see what you guys think and as always hear your feedback so I can continue to craft Twinewood into a sexy lewd adventure for us all.

12/01/2024 - 1.7 Incoming

Hey guys! As work continues on update 1.8 I've begun to realize that even though the writing is mostly complete the renders are going to take a lot longer than I once planned so in the interest of finally getting you guys some new content out I'm going to be releasing 1.7 after all.

It's going to be smaller in scale than 1.8 but should hopefully bridge the gap a little and get you guys some of the fresh changes as the current available game version is quite outdated.

The update will release within the next week or so as soon as I've finished up the remaining renders and done some playtesting so I hope you're all looking forward to it!

What to expect in 1.7?

You can now choose your character's last name in addition to their first name.

Overhauled Waifu Card collection UI.

All Waifu Cards have been re-made with current graphics.

2 brand new cards to collect.

All Lore screens have been remade with current graphics and new lore.

Removed skill system. Now all scenes are viewable in one playthrough.

Removed Nudesona event. This will be back in the future in a fully overhauled state.

Episode 1

Renders up to the end of day 1 have been re-made with current graphics. (100 renders.)

Megan’s first shoot scene has been re-written and re-rendered. (100+ renders.)

Numerous typo/spelling fixes.

Episode 2

Continuation of the main story. (300+ renders.)

Introduction of a new love interest, Robin. She can be either cis (Vanilla) or trans (Futa).

I hope you all enjoy it and since the groundwork for 1.8 is already complete hopefully it won't be too long before that's ready too.

Flashing in The New Academy Building

I've decided to move away from the highschool map going forwards and in the episode 1 re-renders. This new map feels more like a university.

01/01/2024 - I’m back.

Happy new year everybody, I hope you all managed to get some time off to relax over the holidays. As a bit of a late gift I’ve increased the number of available early adopter supporter tiers for those who are interested.

I’ve got a quick little dev log for you all today to update you guys on the progress of update 1.8. Whilst I was away I was able to get a very significant portion of the writing completed and now all that’s really left to do is create a few character models and produce around 500-600 renders. I’m quite confident I’ll be able to get these done before the end of the month so with any luck it won’t be long before the update is in your hands.

I’d also like to get a couple more Twinewood tales out for my mega fan tier subscribers and of course some more bonus lewds so watch this space over the coming weeks.

On another note I’m making an effort to be a bit more active in our Discord server so if you’d like feel free to drop in and chat about whatever really. It’s a bit quiet at the moment but hopefully over time we can have some fun with it.

10/12/2023 - Final Dev Update of the Year.

Twinewood has come a long way since its release at the start of the year and I’m incredibly grateful for all the feedback, appreciation and support you’ve all given me. Whilst I’m a little frustrated that I won’t be able to get update 1.7 out to you all before the turn of the year I believe that it’s going to be worth the unusually long wait. Firstly, I’ve decided to rename the update to 1.8 as the amount of content it contains is easily equal to two of my previous larger drops and this will be the last update before the full release of episode 2, which I’m going to call update 2.0.

Here are some of the features you can expect in 1.8.

• Brand new waifu card UI.
• Fully redone waifu card art for every existing card and 4 brand new cards.
• Updated art style.
• Episode 1 renders up to the end of the first day have been fully redone.
• Megan’s first recording session with Toko has been re-written and fully re-rendered.
• Brand new date and time system. Some segments of the game, starting with the new content introduced in update 1.8. Will be much more choice focused. You’ll be able to choose how you spend each time slot from a list of events that change depending on your choices.
• 800+ new renders of continued episode 2 story.
• Introduction of a new love interest, either Kara (Futa path) or Maya (Vanilla).

TLDR -

Update 1.7 is now called update 1.8.

It has a shit ton of content.

In future I’d like the gaps between updates to not exceed two months, so I’ll be making efforts to better manage my time between Uni-work, development, and gaming. (Fuck you for consuming my life for a while there Baldur’s Gate 3.)

Update 1.8 will be released mid-late January 2024 provided nothing crazy happens to me.

1/12/2023 - Happy Holidays!

Happy holidays everybody, as of today I am coursework free and have a nice free couple of days I’ve decided to dedicate to Twinewood. Update 1.7 has been progressing a little slowly as I’ve had to focus on my Uniwork but now that’s out of the way I have 9 days I can focus on getting it finished before I head home, away from my computer for the rest of the year. I’m not a hundred percent certain it will be enough time to get the update released but I’ll damn well try, otherwise it should release sometime early in January.

Whilst I’m away there won’t be any lewds on patreon however I’m going to schedule something special for the 25th as a little seasonal thank you gift to my patrons of all tiers. I’ll be back with another update sometime soon before the 10th to let you all know how things are going but until then you can reach me in the comments of these posts or in our official discord server!

12/11/2023 - Progress Update

Hey guys, it’s been a little while since I posted the last dev log so I figured it was about time to give you an update on the progress of 1.7. As voted for last time I’ve been cracking on full steam ahead with the next major update. It's gonna be a big one with over 700+ renders, an overhauled waifu card system, numerous episode 1 scene re-shoots and plenty of new content to experience. I would love to get it out before I leave my computer and head home for the holidays so the goal is a release around December 10th. Just a vague target really, not a promise, since I’m currently in the thick of my Uni Course work which has to take property over Twinewoods development.

To tide you all over and continue showing my gratitude for all of your support I've got a plethora of new lewd renders to share based around ideas from the discord! Additionally I’ve been working on a little side erotic literature piece you guys may enjoy if you're fans of my stuff. Nothing major, just a sci-fi story I may share with you all in the coming weeks.
