Another magazine issue I shot for Moonlight Magazine to conclude their Slasher series. This time the theme was more of a cenobite Hellraiser vibe. First few images are behind the scenes shots.

Patreon just released a new collections feature. Iโm going to play around with it this weekend and see how it works. I need to figure out what collections would be ideal. Horror, beauty, nude. Or do I collect all of the models into groups regardless of shoot type. Let me know if anyone has any feedback for collections. I have thousands of photos, video and music projects on my Patreon. Hash tags are the only way of finding stuff currently. ๐

Still trying new things out with the Godox S60. Used the shutters to create a thin ray of light so we could play with shadows on a black background. Really liking this light for more moody portraits. Works great for horror shoots as well, which I just finished a bloody set with Gina which will be up in a week or less.

Its been awhile since I did a bloody horror shoot. This one was fun. Dalia had a hard time seeing through the mask, and throughout the shoot, I kept adding more blood. By the time we were done, and she started peeling the mask off, she started laughing because she didn't realize how much blood she was actually covered in. I love doing these horror shoot concepts. Playing with colors and film grain to get that cinematic look.

My favorite basement window with a 35mm lens on a cloudy day.

We had both seen this black and white image where the model was just wearing a pair of heels, and the floor looked like it reflected her shoes. So we tried to mimic it with what we had in my basement studio. I knew I wanted to play with textures, and ended up accidentally coming up with these final images. I just kept playing around with different things until this idea stuck, so I finished them.
I might try again another set in the future, but with a better studio set up and higher Fstop to get more detail. I'm pretty happy with these though. Just a fun little experiment.

A few quick shots with the window light before we got bloody. I have been using a black mist filter lately, so the light has a nice glow to it. The fog machine helps as well, but doesn't seem to stay very long when shooting. Im probably going to get a haze machine instead. I used one with a few Moonlight Magazine shoots and it seems to work better.

Just finished shooting a new Moonlight Magazine set at an abandoned warehouse based on cenobites. Once they get ready to release it I will post some teasers. Here are a few BTS shots of the building. Fun day.
Next weekend I finally get to work with Dalia and Korey together again. I also have a hotel shoot at the end of the month planned that Iโm looking forward to.
New sets are scheduled for posting over the next few weeks. Stay tuned for more work ๐

Testing out a new light set up. I bought a Godox S60BI LED focusing light. had to use a few hacks for diffusion, but I'm pretty happy with the end result. Its also portable, so I plan on using it on my next Moonlight Magazine shoot coming up.
I also sold my 24-70mm and bought a 70-200mm, but the lens didn't show up in time for our shoot. So I used my 35mm, which I was worried was too wide. I originally bought that lens for video work, but enjoyed shooting with it. Gave the pictures a more intimate portrait feel to me.
And of course, once we finished up, the lens showed up on my porch. So next shoot I will be using the 70-200mm.

This is the second water set I shot from the same day with Courntnee. I left a few of the smiling shots from Gina in because I thought they looked genuine. It shows her goofy side while she was joking around in the water before getting into character for the shots we were trying to achieve.

Just turned 46 today. I lost track of how many years I have been shooting now. I think itโs over 15. May 18? Not really sure. I still feel like a kid at heart.
Ended up going back to the farm location to shoot some more summer stuff. My friend Jamie had messaged me that she wanted to try the water shots in the pond. I will be posting them next week.
Also shooting today. Just some studio portraits. Met someone with lots of interesting scars, so we are going to shoot bodyscapes. Not a bad way to spend my birthday ๐ฅณ

We ended up lucking out with the suns position on the water. We were shooting all day at a farm in different locations in the heat, so we saved the water shots for last. The sun basically backlit the water and we got some beautiful light reflections. Not a bad way to end our shoot.
