A young man with financial problems answers an advert and goes to a sleazy flat to participate in a porn shoot. His fellow 'stars' are five extremely attractive and busty Asian women. At first he can't believe his luck that he's the one being paid for this rather than the other way around, but there's always a catch...
I had fun writing this one. In the past when writing group scenes I often found they became sequential - a sequence of one-on-ones rather than a full group scene. This felt a bit more fluid with all five definitely-not-succubi-ahem involved at all times.

While it is a competition, I don't take them very seriously. It needs a very high score and specific type of story to place. I generally use them to try and attract interest from new readers. This is also the first time in a while I've actually finished the Halloween story in time for the Halloween competition.
The harlot spotlight this week is on the House's fitness-freak energy bunny, Leppi Navitas.
I think both the mechanics and harlot idea came together at pretty much the same time. One of the things I've been trying to do with HoHH is add monster girls I don't write about very often. Beast girls fall in that category. A bunny girl who is an actual bunny girl is a fairly obvious one, albeit with a slight demonic slant as all the harlots in the House are lust daemons rather than fantasy-world monster girls.
Bunnies tend to be associated with energetic fucking and are otherwise fairly benign. This makes for a very straightforward mechanic. Leppi is totally safe unless the player has the fatigued ailment (or out of semen, which is fatal with nearly every harlot). I like the ailment-check system, as ailments are hidden until diagnosed, and I want a few 'surprise' Bad Ends to catch players off guard.
Her mechanics revolving around the fatigued ailment make her a good fit for the wrestling faction, as most of the harlots there will be very tiring for the player. Leppi's session also causes the fatigued ailment, which make other harlots in the same faction more dangerous until that is cured.
One of the things I added for the 1.5 full-art version is to give Leppi limited repeat visit functionality (essentially the same scenario, but with a few minor dialogue changes). This makes it easier to set up deaths where the first visit puts the fatigued ailment on the player and the second one will trigger that Bad End unless the player has removed it beforehand.
Onto the lore.
Along with wanting to cover the monster girls I don't normally write about, I also wanted to vary the personalities so the harlots are not all sinister femme fatale vamps. I also wanted a few oddballs that are more friendly to the player.
Leppi falls nicely into that category. She's not actively trying to kill the player, but her body exudes a musk during sex that can cause men to overexert themselves to the point of heart attack.
In the wider lore she's a very weak lust daemon called a Lapallan bunny nymph. While the Dominion of Lust setting I use is very different to the usual monster girl fantasy-world settings of games like Monmusu Quest, Lapallan bunny nymphs are closer to just a regular fantasy-world race rather than being typical demons. I still haven't figured out how that quite fits within that universe, but I'll figure it out when I need to.
Leppi is another oddball similar to Bebi Ansikt-Sitta and Ygolia Campbell. The aspect of the human world she's latched onto is fitness. Her dream is to open a fitness centre and get people fit with 'sexercise'.
It's a naïve dream. As the older and wiser individuals in the House know, the most likely outcome for that is Leppi getting burned at a stake or being carried off to a secret lab somewhere for dissection.
I think she would be a fairly fun character in another story, so I wouldn't be that cruel. Maybe she does get a stint in the human world and maybe one of the more powerful benevolent characters such as Inari looks out for her. Give her a magic charm to check the health of men beforehand, so she doesn't accidentally heart attack anyone to death, and the ensuing chaos is more comedic than horrific. I can see that having potential if I need more light-hearted elements for a story.
(And let's face it, a secret bunny girl gym with 'Sexercise!' would probably be a hit among her clientele. :D )
For the art I pretty much wanted a bunny girl dressed as a TV fitness guru and marwmellow delivered perfectly.
One of the downsides of staggering the art reveals across different tiers is it's very easy to confuse myself. I was panicking thinking I had a bunch of profiles for the fifth faction to write, and then remembered I have a batch of regular succubus harlots to reveal the profiles of first.
First of which is the exceedingly lazy Pix Decipula.
She might not put much effort in, but she's so talented with her mouth and pussy she doesn't really need to.
I had hardly any distractions this week, so was able to just get on with stuff.
The first priority was typing up "The Big Black Chair" and getting it out. I was a couple of days late with that, but managed to post it Wednesday. That story is currently exclusive to Patreon/SubscribeStar. I won't be putting it up on Literotica, but it will show up in the next collection. The ending leads into another story in the collection.
The second priority was typing up "The Real Money Shot" for Literotica's Halloween competition. That is done. It's another long one at just under 9K words. Understandable when you let 5 succubi loose on a man! I'll leave that on the side for a week or so, and then look to edit and post it up on LIt sometime before the end of the competition deadline.
The third priority was getting work on Temptacia moving again, and that was also pretty successful. I've written pretty much all of her anal scene. I also tidied up her paizuri scene and filled in some of the alternate paths (Black Rose, no semen, etc). That now seems to be moving again.
Also moving again is the harlot art. I managed to figure out a way to get payment to marwmellow and he's currently working on the art for the NPCs. It'll be a while before I show off the full pin-ups in the game, but having the art now means I can use it for their portraits.
Next week I'll be continuing on Temptacia and her other scenarios. I'm hoping if I can get her written early I'll be able to squeeze some work in on a new Nicole story for the next collection before the end of the month.
Today's Harlot Spotlight is still with faction 5, kind of, as I talk about Huntress Diana and Khruutka.
Khruutka actually came first with this one. I've had several ideas for a 'sperm vampire' scenario (and stories) kicking around. A regular vampire drains life through blood sucked from a bite in the neck. A spumpire drains life through semen sucked from the penis. I didn't want them to occupy the same space as succubi, so I made them weaker, more feral, lust daemons. They don't have as much in the way of charm tricks, but if they get their mouth locked in on the man's groin, they can suck him dry fairly quickly.
Once I'd established spumpires as fairly weak, then I had the idea of a more powerful 'huntress' succubi using one as a hunting hound. The scenario would then be the player 'fighting' the hound for the amusement of the succubus huntress.
This opened up a lot of space. At the heart, the scenario is a basic stat check (STR), with various modifiers. The player wrestles Khruutka. If he's not strong enough, she overpowers him and sucks him to a pleasurable Bad End. There are various things the player can do to make this check easier or harder.
Huntress Diana watching adds an additional dimension to the scenario. The 'fight' is for her entertainment, so the second check is for how entertaining the player makes it. This results in a good variety of different endings. If the player just gives up or is too weak to put up a proper fight, Diana will have Khruutka finish him off with a fast suck. If the player puts in an effort, Diana will have Khruutka take it slow, resulting in a more sensual and pleasurable Bad End suck. (One of the gifts you can bring Diana plays into this. It makes the fight harder, but Diana is more likely to order Khruutka to finish the player off more pleasurably.)
Aside from that there are multiple other potential endings. If the player is really strong and tries to actually hurt or injure Khruutka, this triggers a Horror End where Diana kills them. There is a fake-out Good End, where the player can pick Khruutka as a reward, which just leads to a slow drain Bad End. The true Good End is having sex with Diana as a reward, but this also has a Bad End outcome if the player has run out of semen.
Overall, I was very happy with the mechanics for this one. If I'd known I'd regularly come up with scenarios like this, I'd have gone another route with HoHH and kept it to a more manageable 20 scenarios!
The one thing missing is a Good End outcome where the player can experience Khruutka's blowjob and survive. That is something I might come back to with a solo-spumpire wrestling scenario where the daemoness has enough self-control to stop sucking before the player dies.
Now the lore.
This was another area that really opened up with this scenario. The kink theme for the fifth faction is erotic femdom wrestling, which leads itself mechanically to revolve around physical stat checks. While writing Diana, and later Levka, I started to fill in the background for a Hunting Lodge of succubi that hunt humans in a similar way to foxhunting.
This seemed a really strong idea. As I fleshed out more of the background, I realised there was a lot I could do with this idea. Essentially, it's a hunting lodge in hell-space. They capture humans and then hunt them in various ways for sport.
Not only is it a good background for a group of harlots in HoHH, I think there is a lot of potential to use it in stories (with H-space bestiary stories being the most obvious), and maybe even as part of its own game. I don't really have mechanics or gameplay sorted out, but "Escape the Succubus Huntresses" is a great starting point for a game idea.
This did throw up a dilemma for the fifth faction, which up until then had been femdom wrestlers. Mechanically, they cover similar ground, but they each have a strong lore identity that doesn't really mesh together. This is one of the design flaws for HoHH. It probably needed more factions with fewer members. But as it should be fairly extensible, groups can be expanded or added at a later date.
Currently the Huntress group and Wrestling group exist as two subgroups within the 5th faction. I wouldn't mind peeling off the Huntress group into their own separate faction at some point.
Marwmellow's art is lovely. The main challenge I felt was with Khruutka. What I wanted for her was to resemble the typical post-transformation horror-movie vamp, but still looking hot and sexy.
There is a slight discrepancy from Diana's description. She should be fully clothed and dressed like a posh huntress from the waist up (it's only below the waist the Huntresses are completely brazen), but she looks so good in the art I thought it better to leave her as she is.

It's an Annette Brite story. I haven't written about that sexy witch for a while, but she's up to her usual tricks. An extremely stressed social worker goes to her for help alleviating his crippling migraines. She has him sit in her "special" big black chair, which happens to be imbued with the spirit of a succubus...
This is semi-exclusive to Patreon/SubscribeStar. It will show up in the upcoming 7th collection of short stories, but I won't be posting it to Literotica. I felt I should give you something nice while I'm struggling writing the mini-bosses of HoHH.

First up I'm going to do a quick hijack to let people know where the new short story is. It's still being typed up. For various reasons I didn't have as much free time over the weekend and yesterday to get it finished. I do have a full day free today, so I'm hoping I'll be able to get it finished and posted either Wednesday or Thursday.
Back to Hell Harlots and this week it's one of the little succufairies, Cèis nan Cridheachan. She likes giving a man's penis a thorough and pleasurable massage.
I like the succufairies. They're a little controversial in... what they do, but I think it's a fairly unique take on a monster girl fairy. I like to surprise people. ;)
A mixed week. While I was pretty hot on writing the collection short stories, real life seemed pretty intent on throwing some distractions in the way of that. This included losing yesterday after being called up last minute for my local cricket team after someone dropped out, and the infamous British weather deciding to pause pissing it down long enough for the match to happen.
On the plus side, I was able to write the first draft of the one of the stories. That was originally a more comical story of 'antifa' getting caught between a demon hunter chasing down a succubus. The original idea was a little too goofy, so I gave the main characters a bit more nuance so they weren't one-note stereotypes. The end result came out surprisingly Terminator-esque, although I think I need to rework the ending sex scene a little.
Even though I'd have liked to have written more, that is one more story towards the collection. At the moment I just have the Nicole story to write and 6 of 8 parts of the multi-part "A Succubus for Social (in)Justice" story. So it's getting closer even if I wasn't able to fully blast through what I needed to write.
Also pushed back was typing up the new Annette Brite short story, "The Big Black Chair". I'm in the middle of that and I'm hoping to have most of it typed up by the end of the day so I can get it out by the end of the month. Some sections of it are pretty rough, so it might slip to an early October release.
I didn't really want to repeat going over the end-of-month deadline again, but this was one of those weeks where I kept getting bounced off writing work for one reason or another.
The immediate priorities are finishing typing up "The Big Black Bed" and the second part of "The Real Money Shot" for Literotica's upcoming Halloween competition. After that I'll keep October flexible. From the recent poll results I know working on HoHH is the preference, so I'll try to prioritise that if I can.
Continuing with the low-tier harlots of the fifth faction, we'll look at one with a slightly tenuous connection to it – Lady Flumpth.
My memory is a little hazy on this one, so I'm not sure if the harlot idea or mechanics came first.
I think the central idea was of a harlot that dropped down from the ceiling and trapped the player under her dress. Her dress is part of her body and she'd pleasurably drain the player while under her.
I think someone had been asking for a girl with a tentacle dress similar to a hentai doujin monster girl character. I'd also seen the character and it had inspired a story idea of a similar monster girl tugging a 'volunteer' under her dress and subjecting him to tentacle pleasure hell as part of a sexy stage show.
(I've been thinking of expanding the number of harlots that have their scenarios downstairs in the bar on stage, so the story idea might become separate harlot scenario idea.)
At some point the 'capture dress harlot' became more fungal and her tentacles switched to filaments that drained vitality on touch, but that touch was also extremely pleasurable.
As Lady Flumpth became more fungal, I thought it made sense to push the more disquieting aspects of her appearance and creepiness.
The mechanics became a mix of various stat checks. The player can dodge her as she falls down (with a bonus if he has high enough INT to spot her first or was warned by The Elegant Woman) or muscle out through the filament dress if they have enough STR.
While the individual stat checks are all slightly tougher than would be expected for a low-tier harlot, the player only really has to pass one to escape, which should make her a relatively easy low-tier harlot.
The one thing I added was the clothing clause. The player needed to be given the choice of whether to take his clothes off at the start, and having harlots be allowed to finish off the player if they destroy their clothes for some reason removes the need to handle situations where the player has no clothes to put back on afterwards.
Because she mostly checks physical stats, it made sense to put her in the fifth faction. She is a fairly loose fit for that faction and would probably be an independent if I didn't already have too many of them in relation to the faction harlots. One mistake I think I made was to make each faction require too many harlots. I think most faction ideas can support around 5-7 characters, and after then it starts to become a stretch.
Lady Flumpth is an unusual scenario in that there is no safe way to let her perform any sex act on the player. While she offers it if the player escapes her trap, it's just another trap that will lead to his death. I felt it fit her particular character, but it's not something I want to do too often with scenarios. HoHH differs from other femdom monster girl games in that the player can get laid and walk away afterwards, they just have to manage a whole heap of uncertainty about whether they'll get to walk away afterwards.
This also swings into the lore.
That is pretty sparse for Lady Flumpth. As mentioned above, she's a fairly tenuous fit for this faction.
She's not very popular with The Madam as she doesn't offer any 'safe' sex services, which violates the 'rules' of The Madam's 'game'. The Madam tolerates this as Lady Flumpth is not a particularly powerful lust daemon, so it's not hard for a man to find a way to escape her track.
Lady Flumpth does tries to be proper and ladylike, but the others see her as a mouldy fungus, and don't respect her all that much.
If I ever hive it off into its own faction, I can see Lady Flumpth joining Vête Piège in a faction of posh snooty lust daemons that dress in fine aristocratic dresses and are incredible bitches to each other.
Marwmellow's piece is suitably fungus-y. Lady Flumpth also has her lovely big heaving bosoms to distract from the more noisome aspects of her appearance.

I wrote and typed this up a few weeks back. I was a little intimidated by the sex scene as five succubi means a lot of... ahem... moving parts. That second half is written. I just need to type it up and edit it. It should be done in time for the competition deadline and I'll let people know when it's up on Literotica.
In the meantime, here is an early look at the first half.
Poll results are in. That looks a fairly emphatic victory for HoHH, at 72% to 28%.
However, as I mentioned yesterday in the update post, an odd thing happened after I posted the poll. It flipped a mental switch in my head that said "I must do as much as possible on the collection as I'll need to switch back to HoHH". Half the battle with dealing with my sometimes erratic productivity is to pull mental tricks on myself like this. :D
Currently, I'm pretty red-hot on the collection. To keep the mental trick up, I'm going to give myself this week, the last in September, to see just how much of the required short stories I can blast through. If I can finish the short story I'm halfway through, write the Nicole story and maybe a couple of segments of the multi-segment "A Succubus for Social (In)Justice" story, I will pretty much have the first draft of the collection done and can think about a November release.
If the week goes that well, I should just go for it.
However, if I sputter out, find the stories taking longer to write, then I'll put it on the backburner and get back to work on HoHH, as that's the preference from the poll.

The other is the first half and teaser of the story I'm planning to enter into this year's Literotica Halloween competition. It's already typed up and ends up a suitably intriguing teaser. And, unlike other work-in-progresses I've posted in the past, the 2nd half is written. Working title for that is "The Real Money Shot" and it features five buxom succubi having a lot of fun with an (un)lucky guy.
After this flurry, it will be back to HoHH and hopefully getting the mini-bosses back on track in October.
One of the reassuring things about the poll is that people are still interested in the HoHH project. It has gone on a little longer than I originally intended and I did have some concerns people were getting antsy for new fiction. The polls results have put that little niggling doubt firmly to bed.

A weird thing happened this week. Because I have a lot of plates spinning and I'm not sure what to focus on, I put a poll up on Monday to see what patrons would prefer.
Very quickly this looked to favour HoHH, but because I have an extremely contrary muse, the first reaction was "I've got to get as much of this regular writing done before the official poll results next Monday".
I don't, of course, but I wasn't going to tell my muse that, not when it triggered a bit of a writing rampage.
The start of the week was very productive. It tailed off a little at the end as I had to handle some other distractions, but was mostly good.
The first draft of the new Annette Brite story is written. That has her trap an unsuspecting client in "The Big Black Chair". I originally had no plans to put it in the next collection, but then wrote a sneaky little segment at the end that perfectly sets up the final story in the collection. I need to have a quick reread of the other unassigned Brite stories to make sure the sequencing works, but I think this will be a good fit.
As for the collection, I might have finally made progress on the running order. The problem story is the title story: "A Succubus for Social Justice". This is a multipart story where someone gets hold of the succubus tablet and sends the succubus after various enemies. The multi-part nature was putting the running order in a state of flux.
I'll talk about this in more detail in future, but I think I've got this sorted out now. It does mean the new collection will have more new material than I initially intended, but it also means I'll likely have enough unassigned stories left over in my stockpile that the next collection after will only require maybe 3 new stories.
The other thing I did was finish the first draft of a Halloween story for Literotica's upcoming competition. I finished and typed up the first half a few weeks back. The second half had been on hold for a while as it's a fairly complex group sex scene involving 5 succubi. I managed to figure that out and was very pleased with how it dropped into place. That one is very hot.
I'll go over the poll results and how they affect my plans tomorrow.
A lot will depend on what I get done today. I did want to have another of the collection stories finished as that would tempt me into going nuts for the last week in September to see if I could actually get most of the collection done. If I can break the back of most of the work, I'm fine with going full steam ahead on it and getting the new collection out before the end of the year.
However, if the initial rush dies off, I don't want to let it drag through October and maybe even November, especially when the majority of you here want me to be working on HoHH.
I'll see how today goes. Next week I'll need to type up "The Big Black Chair" and the Halloween story. I'll see where I'm at after that.

We're now onto the low-tier harlots of the fifth faction. This is also getting closer to 'hot off the press' as I only received this batch just last week. The next batch might also take a while as the crowd-funding website Marwmellow was using now seems to be blocked by paypal/banks/everything. We're currently trying to find workarounds, so fingers crossed this will only be a temporary disruption. In the meantime, I have five new harlots from faction five to introduce. Sort of, the new art should already be in the HoHH1.5 private demo, so you might have already seen it. I will keep the spotlight series weekly for now, but I might drop it back to one every two weeks if I get caught up too quickly with the art.
I do have other harlot art in reserve. All of the artificial beings harlots have art as well as a couple of others. The nice thing is I haven't put the mid- and high-tier harlots in the HoHH1.5 demo yet, so those will actually be exclusive early previews.
Anyway, with that out of the way, let's pick the first one and it will be Sister Squeeze.
Sister Squeeze is an existing character from one of my old short stories (Squeezed). Like Acarina, her Bad End is pretty much the same scene from the story with a few tweaks to account for changes in tense and PoV. I thought this would be a quick way to add some additional harlots (although not always – Nicolette wasn't quick to write at all despite being an adapted version of one of Nicole's scenes). Sister Squeeze actually finished high up (maybe top, I can't remember) in a poll to add existing characters.
Despite this, it took a while for me to add her. The fifth faction was loosely defined as the 'erotic wrestling' faction, but then the Huntresses took on a much stronger identity. It also came down to which slots needed filling. Because of her abilities, Sister Squeeze could easily fit in either the low- or high-tier categories.
In her original story, a superhero with actual super-strength couldn't break out of her hold once she'd wrapped herself around him, so I didn't think any kind of stat check would be appropriate for a 'normal' being. So, the other delay in adding Sister Squeeze was trying to come up with a good mechanic for her.
Because she's actually quite powerful (albeit with an unusual power set for a succubus) it makes sense to have the mechanic come down to whether she chooses to kill the player. The other thing I like to lean into is that despite being sex daemons, the harlots are also sex workers, and sex workers frequently offer specialised services. One of those is erotic roleplay. Sister Squeeze's session is her running an erotic roleplay where her punter pretends to be a superhero defeating and sexually having his way with a sexy supervillainess. The twist being she actually has super powers and is fully capable of squeezing the man dry if she wanted to.
Which tier to put her in would be determined by how frequently she chose to give the man a good 'squeeze'. If she liked doing that a little too much and was prone to losing control, then I'd put her in the high-tier bracket. From the story she seemed quite apologetic about squeezing the protagonist out (even though he borderline deserved it), so I felt she better fit a low-tier position where Bad Ends are infrequent.
The mechanic ended up being very simple RNG. Whenever Sister Squeeze is introduced to the player there is a 10% chance she is in 'lethal' rather than 'safe' mode. There are subtle tells in the text to indicate which mode she is in, and the player can override it by socialising with her and buying her favourite drink. As a mechanic it's a little sketchy, but it does give nice 'surprise' moments when a harlot thought 'safe' suddenly Bad Ends a player on a subsequent run. The Bad Ends should also happen infrequently enough to make her a good early-round harlot.
I think I still have a slot remaining for a high-tier 5th faction harlot. I might make that another supervillainess with exotic powers to mirror Sister Squeeze, only she'll be a lot more prone to losing control and enjoying Bad Ending the player.
Onto the lore, which is tricky in this case.
Sister Squeeze is a character from an old short story. I hadn't really created a shared universe yet, so rather than being a succubus, she was just a super with exotic sex powers that used them to kill a super 'hero'.
This created a problem for integrating her into the House of Hellish Harlots, as in-lore all the harlots are sex daemons from the Dominion of Lust. To fit her in she either needed to be a different expy Sister Squeeze with a lust daemon background or retconned.
In the end I did elements of both. She could be the same Sister Squeeze. She was summoned to an earth where super powers exist. Her brain was scrambled during the summoning, so rather than remembering she's a lust daemon, she thought she was just another mutant with weird superpowers.
This leads to her being very confused with her existence in the House, as she tries to reconcile what she thought she was (a superpowered mutant) with what she actually is (a lust daemon). Given how she behaved in the story, I thought she'd probably be reluctant to kill 'innocents'. This lines her character up with her mechanics. Most of the time she's happy giving punters a safe, sexy roleplay of defeating a hot supervillainess.
Unfortunately, The Madam is very into 'her game', which means that while the 'guests' should always have a chance to escape, there should also always be a chance they can die as well. She can be quite menacing getting this point across, which means every so often Sister Squeeze gets a bollocking and has to pick a random visitor and completely squeeze them out to make her 'quota' of deaths.
I felt this was a nice way to bring her into the universe. It also gives me some flexibility. She could be the same character, but could also end up being a similar alt version expy if I go back to that 'superpower' universe and spin it off in a different direction.
The art direction I gave Marwmellow was for a naked blue comic-book style villainess striking a haughty and powerful pose. I think he nailed that admirably!
As I mentioned in the weekly update post, I currently have an interesting pile-up of things to be working on.
The first is continuing the House of Hellish Harlots project. I'm struggling a little with the mini-boss scenarios are they're a little bit bigger than the regular ones, but overall progress on this is pretty good. The current tasks for that are to keep working on writing the mini-boss scenarios, which are Temptacia, a slime girl smother nun, a harem of imps and possibly the Trappess. Also on the immediate todo list is putting out HoHH 1.5 as a proper public demo now I have the art for all of the low-tier harlots.
The second option is more short stories and putting a 7th collection together as an ebook. I did set aside a month last year in the hope of writing the stories I needed, but that petered out and I shifted back to HoHH. The last couple of weeks I've gone back and taken a look at my notes and the restarted some stalled story ideas. There are 4 I need to write, which will be around 20-25K words.
As I could be working on either, and both need to be done at some point, I thought I might throw it open to patrons to see what people would prefer me to work on.
I'm not going to treat this as binding, as my plan is to run with what I most feel like doing when I wake up that day, as it's more productive than trying to force something that's stuck. However, a poll might help be a tiebreaker if I'm 50:50. It will also give me an idea of what people are more interested in seeing, so I feel less guilty about pausing HoHH to get the collection out, or keep holding the collection back while I focus on getting HoHH to the next milestone (depending on how the poll comes out).
This shouldn't be an either or. Both of these things will be done. I might also end up working on the losing thing anyway if trying to push the other gets stuck.
This is just to give me an idea of what people would prefer me to be working on.
A frustrating week, but before I get into the details of that, here is an actual update.
The private demo version of House of Hellish Harlots 1.5 has been updated. New harlot art has been added. This means no more harlot art placeholders. All 36 of 36 harlots now have pin-up art.

Now for what I got up to in the week.
It started pretty well. I did some organising of my short stories in-progress and looked again at what I need for the next short story collection. I typed up a chunk (about 2.5K words) of one of those stories, and got two others running again. One is a new Annette Brite story. It was originally just a random idea I was in the mood to write. Initially, it wasn't one of the stories I needed to write for the collection, then I figured out how to nicely tie it in with the Nicole story idea for the collection (which I also need to write).
This was quite convenient as I had to axe one short story idea as it wasn't working. The contents of the collection are still in flux, but I have a better idea of what needs to be written and what is currently in process.
This week I also got the latest batch of artwork back from marwmellow. It was when I tried to pay him for the commission when the week fell apart.
The crowd-funding site he uses has been pretty much blocked by all payment processors at the moment. I shouted at my bank for a while, before finding out the customer service drones are not legally allowed to tell you why payments are being declined in cases like this. We're currently looking at workarounds.
That ended up disrupting the second half of the week and I'm still working on finding a way to pay him for work done.
While it did disrupt my writing, I was able to get some other things done.
The new short story "An Exclusive Performance with Magistrix Synn" has been edited and submitted to Literotica. I'm waiting on that to be accepted.
And the last thing was uploading the new art to the houseofhellishharlots website, which I finished this morning to give you the new demo mentioned at the top of this post.
The next few weeks are probably going to be fairly chaotic. Top priority is making sure marwmellow gets paid for the commissions.
After that there are a few plates spinning.
Now I have all the harlot art, I'm thinking it might be time to put out a proper public demo for HoHH 1.5. The question is whether to go with the current placeholders I have for the title page and UI elements, or delay the public demo until after I replace them (at least for the UI elements).
I need to get back to work on Temptacia. I know a lot of people are waiting expectantly for her.
I also have 5 short stories on the go at the moment. One is for Literotica's Halloween competition and the other four are for the next collection.
I'll probably prioritise these based on which I'm in the mood to work on. That usually tends to be the most productive for me. I don't know what that'll be until I actually work on things, so expect the next few weeks to be a little chaotic.

Actually on the correctly scheduled day for a change, here is this week's harlot spotlight. Today we'll be looking at Alsharajea, the Corruptress.
The harlot scenario ideas normally break down into the two separate components. 1) The idea for the succubus/monster girl and what naughty stuff they get up to in the bedroom. 2) The game mechanics to determine whether the scenario ends up in Bad End or not.
I can't remember which came first for Alsharajea. On the sex side of things, I wanted an anal specialist succubus, and felt the best fit for that would be a very raunchy, over-the-top succubus. I also thought she should have red skin, as – while it's the default skin colour for a lot of horny devil succubi in other fantasy IPs – I don't actually use it very often. In this case it seemed perfect for Alsharajea to emphasise her 'horny devil' nature.
The mechanic is a simple round check. Alsharajea is lethal on Round 1, and relatively safe when picked any round after that. She does drain a lot more semen than other harlots with her 'ass vacuum', but is pretty straightforward otherwise – don't choose on Round 1, and you're good.
In this respect she's a nice mirror to the other low-tier succubus in her faction, Panta Prota. Panta is lethal if you turn her down on Round 1.
As with Panta, Alsharajea has a question-and-answer preliminary that is there to obfuscate what her actual Bad End mechanic is.
(If I'd planned slightly better, I should have added another low-tier harlot to this faction where the questions on relationship status and whether the player character was a virgin or not do determine the ending.)
Onto the lore.
This came out of the mechanics. Like Panta, Alsharajea is a fairly weak succubus (relative to the other harlots in the House). She's also fairly insecure, which The Elegant Woman eludes to when mentioning how the novice succubi like to give themselves intimidating appellations like "the Corruptress" to make themselves seem stronger than they are.
Alsharajea talks up her anal technique and it's something she puts a lot of focus on. However, it's still inferior to someone like Temptacia, who can do that and regular sex, and blowjobs, etc.
Alsharajea and Panta both have slightly different ways of making sure their techniques are not compared with other harlots. Panta is desperate to get their first, so she can blow a man's mind as their first succubus experience. After that, she won't put herself up to be picked again because the man will have had sexual experiences with other harlots in the House that might have been better than hers.
Alsharajea has a more direct approach. The easiest way to be the best succubus sex experience a man has is to be the only succubus sex experience a man has. Which neatly fits with her mechanic.
Her art is a redo by Marwmellow. After seeing what HunggryCroissant had done with Pori, I commissioned him myself for Alsharajea. Unfortunately, I gave bad references and bad direction, and while the resulting piece fully captured her raunch, the reception to it from patrons and people on my blog was fairly mixed.
This new piece gives her a more dynamic pose on her stripper's pole as well as a good look at her lovely butt. I hope people like it. Let me know your thoughts below.
A few weeks back, after putting out the full art demo for HoHH, I mentioned there was a sneaky little surprise with one of the harlots.
It's been out long enough for people to come across and be pleasantly surprised by it, so I'll reveal what it is.
Smithlfarrel liked Suka no-Hirudo enough to independently commission Marwmellow for art of her doing slightly more explicit things. (Which I'll leave for people to go and find in the game rather than just dropping it here ;) )
I wasn't planning to add additional art of harlot H-scenes. HoHH has a lot of monster girls and succubi. I set aside enough funds to give each harlot a 'pin-up' art piece, but that's pretty much all I can afford. The original code wasn't even set up to handle more than one art piece for a harlot.
However, the code was fairly easy to tweak, and - with smithlfarrel's permission - I added the art he'd commissioned to the appropriate part of Suka's scenario (and I'm very grateful to him for letting me use it).
This is an additional bonus. I'm still not planning to commission art for every H-scene. I'd like to, but with 100+ harlots, the budget isn't there for it to be viable. However, I've checked with Marwmellow, and if any of you out there would like to do as smithlfarrel has done, Marwmellow is fine with being commissioned for additional pieces showing the harlots doing 'spicier' things. Now that I've changed the code, I can also add this art to the game should the person commissioning it wish this.
I don't know if anything will come of this, but I thought I'd let everyone know it is possible should someone want to commission the extra art. It's an additional option that's there should people wish to use it.

I'd love to see some additional art, but I also appreciate it's a little cheeky of me to ask for it. However, the option is now there should people be appropriately inspired.
(Also, check with me if your fav harlot hasn't been shown off yet. As of today, I have art of 50 harlots, not all of which has been revealed. If your fav harlot isn't in there, I'll just bump her up the priority queue, so the pin-up is done first before she gets to do the more... ahem... interesting things.)
This week's hell harlot is the sweet and chaste Calliophi. She is one of the nicer harlots in the House in that she only wants to give the man a nice relaxing massage. Unfortunately, should things go wrong, she possesses an extremely deadly bite that will result in the man helplessly spurting all his life out on the floor.
Initially, there was a slight mix-up with the art. The first sketch Marwmellow sent back was of a far more passionate lamia. Not wanting that to go to waste, I added Calliophi's sister to the commission and that sketch became her. The second attempt gave us this lovely sweet 'shrine maiden' pose for Calliophi.
An up-and-down week, but one that ended up being fairly productive.
The new short story went out a little later than I'd have liked. That can be found in a previous post and is titled "An Exclusive Performance with Magistrix Synn". I hope you like it!
I somehow managed to get both of my deadline-pressure behaviours on that one. For 3 days I felt locked up and made slow progress and then there were 2 days interspersed in those where I was at full throttle. I got there, and the early look at that is now available. Sometime next week I'll give it a more thorough edit and post it up on Literotica.
As I planned to do, I kept the rest of the week as a break from working on HoHH. I did have the usual problems that spring up from (self-imposed) deadline pressure. i.e. only being able to work on the thing currently late, resulting in some dead hours where nothing is done as I'm fully focused on the late thing but also a little bit blocked on it. After it was done, I managed to surge on with some other ideas, with yesterday being a pretty good day. I typed up 2.5K words on another short story I started a couple of months ago and rescued an old Annette Brite story idea from the scrap heap and have maybe got the first draft for that halfway written.
I also took a look at the next short story collection again. One thing I might change for those is some of the fixed elements - eg always 13 stories, always a 'Vs' story, always a Nicole story (X with a Succubus), always a succubus tablet story (A Succubus for X). I've noticed that I have quite a few long (10K) short stories in my unassigned pile. The major anchor on new collections is the fixed elements. Without them I probably have enough material already finished for 2-3 60-70K word short story collections. I'd want at least one exclusive story per collection, but I might think about organising them based on word count rather than aiming for 13 stories.
At the moment I seem to be in the right frame of mind for finally clearing up and finishing a bunch of half-finished short story ideas that have been sitting on the side for a while. While the spark is there, I think I'll continue with this clean-up for another week. This might also solve one of the problems I've been having with the HoHH mini-boss scenarios. They are too big to get finished in a month, which puts me in panic-mode as I don't like to have a month with no release. If I can finish off and stockpile a bunch of short story ideas, that will give me material I can put out while continuing to work on the big mini-boss (and later Queen) scenarios for HoHH without deadline pressure.
I'll see how next week goes. There might be a good reason why these half-finished short story ideas have been stuck on the side for a while - they ain't any good. If that's the case, I'll jump back to HoHH and Temptacia.

Finishing off the new short story took a little longer, so the harlot spotlight is pushed back to Saturday again. This week it's time for a look at Panta Prota.
She was one of the earlier ones, I think. One of the influences to the game was Lobotomy Corporation, so I was looking for other ways to trigger Bad Ends than stat checks. The idea for Panta is she's mostly fairly placid and nice, unless she gets turned down. Nice idea in theory. In practise it required putting a check in for which harlots were presented and then turned down (or mulliganned) by the player. This was already kind of in place, as the default behaviour for turning down any harlot is to reduce their affection (which isn't relevant for all harlots, but can tip a later encounter into Bad End territory).
I also needed to update my test program for the HoHH 1.5 version to handle harlots that check for things outside of the room.
Panta is a little complex under the hood as her encounter varies depending on which round she was picked and whether the player could have picked her on previous rounds, but chose not to.
So, a little complicated to both write and program.
She's quite good as a low-tier harlot. She's fairly safe to pick, but can surprise-kill the player in later rounds until they work out what's going on with her.
Now for the lore.
As with most of the harlots for this faction, Panta Prota is a fairly standard succubus. I wanted a fairly softer 'bedroom lingerie' theme for her rather than the more common 'black latex dominatrix' look I give a lot of my succubi.
She's quite a weak succubus, but still powerful enough to overwhelm a man with sensuality if he gets into bed with her. One of the sub-themes for this group is that the weaker succubi are a little insecure about their abilities. For this reason Panta wants to get to new arrivals first and is not interested in seeing anyone a second time. The reason is she doesn't like the man to have prior experience with other succubi to compare to her own abilities.
Alsharajea, the Corruptress is similar in this regard, but has a different way of tackling it, as we'll see next week.
Marwmellow's art does a pretty good job of capturing her 'fey' look and the way she tries to seem unthreatening.
And it's here. Hot off the presses. So hot I finished typing it up this morning and editing it five minutes ago.
This is the new short story I wrote for Literotica's Pandemonium event. Two university students are invited by a wealthy friend to see a very exclusive performance.
It ended up running longer than I originally intended. I thought it would be a 5K short story and it ended up being just short of 10K words. In the past I made a mistake of trying to cut a similar story to this (one of the Koontz ones) down to a more 'correct' size and ended up butchering the intro. I decided to let this one be the length it wanted.
As usual the succubus had far too much fun playing with her food. I think they do it deliberately to tease me.
This one is about a week late, so apologies for that. I wanted it to be August's release and couldn't quite finish it in time. I was then hoping for the start of the week, but a couple of slow days typing it up together with it being longer than I originally thought pushed it back to now.
It's here now. While I have edited it, I don't normally like editing so close to finishing a story, so there might be a few more typos and errors than usual. My plan is to wait a week and then give it a more thorough going over before putting it up on Literotica.

The harlot profile for this week is the lovely buxom Baloobia. She's a tricky one as she was inspired by the slime girls in 62studio's Lust Grimm and similar games, and those are pretty much a giant pair of tits in a puddle of slime.
Given that, Marwmellow did a pretty good job I think!
I'm also still typing up the succubus story. I was hoping Monday or Tuesday, but as usual the succubus had to have too much fun. I'll continue to work on it and hope to have a version out some time this week. Again, apologies for the delay on that. My succubi just like playing with their food too much! :D
This is a short update as I covered part of it in the public post yesterday.
I did decide to take a short break from Temptacia to write some standard fiction. This is just to clear my head and also give the people who support me more for the stories something that isn't HoHH related.
This worked pretty well. I typed up around 5,000 words of the short story I want to put into Literotica's Pandemonium story event. I also wrote a few pages on another short story idea and a few more on a darker novel idea that I might keep nibbling at when I have a spare moment.
I didn't quite finish the story in time for the end of the month as I mentioned yesterday. I'm hoping to finish typing it up today and have a rough draft up on Monday/Tuesday, so bear with me on that.
My plan is to keep on the freeform writing next week - there's a story idea for Halloween I'd like to finish off - and then get back to Temptacia and HoHH work the following week.

Right, as I mentioned in the last update post, I felt my frustration with the slow progress on Temptacia was blocking me up. To unblock things and also to satisfy people that would like to see some new fiction alongside work on House of Hellish Harlots, I decided to take a week or two and switch just to writing fiction (short stories and other things). That seems to have worked quite well.
I wrote a first draft for this upcoming event on Literotica a week or so ago. I've been typing it up this week. As usual, the succubus had a little too much fun, so what was originally supposed to be a regular short story has gone a little longer, so it's not quite ready for release. I've got around 5K words typed up with maybe 2-3K to go. I'm hoping to finish typing it up today or tomorrow and then have an early preview version ready for patrons on Monday or Tuesday.
After that, I'll leave it on the side for a week and then go back and edit all the typos I inevitably missed for the patron-preview version before posting it up on Literotica.
As for a hint of what it involves, there is a succubus putting on a live 'suck' show in front of an audience of cultists.
Apologies for it being a couple of days late and not the Temptacia release people might have been hoping for. I'm hoping a week or so of doing something different will clear my head so I can get back to her.
This one will need to be a bit shorter than normal as I'm currently frantically typing up a short story for an end-of-month release (more about that in a following post). This week the harlot spotlight is on Brittnee.
I've had an idea for a sticky bed trap succubus for a while. I needed to fill a low-tier slot for the 4th faction and it seemed a good mechanic for that. There are no checks, the player chooses to get on the bed and gets Bad Ended or doesn't and escapes. Perfect for an early round scenario.
I thought it would also be a good opportunity to introduce a very low powered succubus and treat her as a more comical character to contrast with the scarier femdom succubi. If she screws up, it also allows the player to take a more dominant role for a change and I want to vary the sex scenes as much as possible.
As I was writing her, I remembered I'd already done the bed trap thing with Pix Decipula, but in the end decided Brittnee's bratty imp character was enough to have two slightly similar scenarios.
Tying in with the lore.
Brittnee is a very weak succubus. She's probably the weakest harlot in the House so far aside from Sammy. There are jokes that she might just be an imp, which isn't quite true. For the setting I prefer to keep imps as separate 'species' rather than have it that imps can evolve into succubi, Pokemon-style.
The sticky bed trap also nicely creates some additional succubus lore. It's a crude way to incapacitate a man for a succubus to fuck him. So, for them, it can be considered as 'training wheels' before they develop their charm abilities and other magic to no longer need it. Pix Decipula still uses it even though she doesn't need to, but that's because she's an incredibly lazy succubus.
Because I'm manyeyedhydra, I couldn't resist a little sting of horror. Even though Brittnee is intended as more of a comic relief character, low-level succubus tend to be a little rougher when extracting energy and the soul from the body. If the player does fall for her very obvious trick, it's not the most pleasant of Bad Ends.
The art (by marwmellow) fits her pretty well. She's meant to look like a bratty 'teen' succubus (the equivalent of an 18 or 19-year-old human).

I've been suffering with a nasty ulcer on the underside of my tongue, which - while trivial in the grand scheme of illnesses - has been a nuisance in being painful enough to make eating and sleeping difficult.
I'm still struggling to make headway with Temptacia and fear in trying to push it has ended up getting myself all blocked up. I need to have a rethink with these mini-boss scenarios as they seem to be causing some problems at the moment. Maybe release them partially and add alternate scenarios as they're completed? I'm not sure. It feels like they're taking far longer than they should and worrying about not getting them written fast enough is only exacerbating the problem.
I do have the short story I wrote last week. My plan is to get that typed up so I'll have something to put out before the end of the month.
In mentioning I'd written it, a few did contact me in that they were glad to hear news of new stories being written, as that's one aspect of my output I had been neglecting in the focus on HoHH.
If progress on Temptacia still feels stuck I might spend the first week or so of September just writing some short fiction again to see if that gets things moving. My muse is fairly fickle and chaotic, so telling it I need to write some short stories for a collection will probably be the thing that gets me writing Temptacia and other mini-bosses as a distraction behaviour!
